It's been a long time now, since 2012/07/16, but I still think about her a lot, having dreams and a lot of nightmares. At times when I wake up it's like I have totally forgotten that she isn't here anymore and just expects her to be waiting for me, it is such a strange feeling since it's been such a long time now. I still get a lot of anxiety when we pass the vet that we put her down at..
I've been working on this for almost two years now, and it feels amazing that it is finally done x3 I've had the colors and eyes done for most of that time but just thought it sucked to shade it xD Procrastinating like a pro since 1996 x'D
Anyway, I'm so happy with how this turned out and it's nice to have made some personal art too :3

Losing a loved one is always hard. I too have the same experiences with my dog. As he actually died 2012 in June and just waking up expecting to see my old boy downstairs and not seeing him was hard on me and still it.
It's truly wonderful that you made such a lovely tribute to her. I hope the best for you <3

It really isn't a nice experience but I think that in the long run it's nice to have had all the time with them^^ But I still say the wrong name to my current dog even tho it's been such a long time now.

That's one of the things that really keeps you going at times, just knowing that you gave them a good life and that you didn't let them suffer just to keep them around for your own sake. And since she was my own first dog I wont ever forget her, she was so special to me ^^

I feel sorry for you. I lost my bunny who was 7 years with me and I felt strong affection to him. I also have dreams and nightmares. :C

I had a bunny like a month ago that died the night before I was going to have him put down since he was getting old and really sick quite fast :/ He fell a sleep and just didn't wake up the next day so to me that was a really peaceful way for him to go and I was prepared for it since he was so sick. He came from my first litter of bunnies so I have had him since birth, but when hes father died that really hurt. He was more like a dog and was the kindest and most loving bunny I have ever met and missing out on saying goodbye to him is something I still think about a lot.

That's so sad, I can imagine how you feel. 
My bunny was like a dog too, he was free and always outside the rabbit cage. I have a lot of memories with him.
Soon I will have a tattoo with bunny jumping over my ankle. 
Now I think about buying new rabbit. Want to name him Bąbel, what means Bubble in polish.

My eldest dog is dying of cancer atm, it'll be a sad day when she finally goes.

We had a dog that got cancer too, it's not fun at all :/ We let her do her thing as long as she wasn't in any pain but when it started to get even larger (like a tennis ball..) we decided it was her time. In a way I think she has been the easiest to say goodbye to since we all knew it was coming but it still isn't fun, all you can do at that point is to know that you gave her a good life and that she didn't get to suffer.
I hope your dog will hold on a while longer and give her a pat from me
