I assume Christians think that it's a sign of insincere atheism when an atheist says it, as some sort of proof they secretly do believe, yet without realizing that to a lot of atheists it's just a phrase they were conditioned to say a lot when they were young, that just seemed to stick after they stopped believe. It's just an expression, not some secret proof atheists really believe deep down.

I don't see how atheists are unintelligent just for not believing there is a god. The reason why I don't believe is not because I don't want to believe.
