Description This version of lockjaw is both powerful on land and in the water. Powerful limbs and long tale help to propel it through murky waters and given it's build able to go on land and climb about the forests thick rooted floor. This version are great hunters and evolved enough to make tools. Though they are solitary hunters they live in clans deep with in the forest.

Nyah not much of a description....but I am getting bloomin' tired, this piece took about four hours. I am actually kind of proud of it and I think this will be my entry to BeastofOblivion's contest. It's not the most creativeout the entreis but I had a lot of fun drawing them. I think I may post some of the other versions just for fun....not that I have drawn 38 versions, and have kept about 12 of them. This was a really fun contest to partake in!

But I am also really proud how far this pic came from....here's the first step *links*

I am honestly really surprised, I came close several times to throwing this one out so yay ^_^

I love how real he looks. The musculature, face and everything looks like he could be a living breathing creature. A fearsome one at that.

...and that technique is something I should try, it certainly gave you good results!

Thank you! Actually I used a combination of chalk pastels and colored pencil. Though I use my chalk pastels different then many I know. I actually shave the sticks, mix the powder from then and then apply the chalk to the paper using cotton swabs and cotton balls. Then to bold out the colors and give it further dep I go in with my prima colors and go through and shade...then I go through again with pencil and shade all the areas and then I erase areas for light....so lots of layers of different meduims! ^^ I have found that by doing simple layer work with colors you can get a more rich feel to them, at least using pastels and colored pencils! But again thank you and I am happy you like!
