I absolutely LOVE THIS PICTURE. Blackpearl kicks so much ass. XD You did a great job on her hair; it's hard to draw, I know. I love her expression . . . I don't know how to explain it, it's almost as if she wants to cry, but she can't. The coloring is beautiful . . . it's nice and soft, like we're seeing her in a memory. This rare expression of vulnerability on Blackpearl's face is so very nice to see . . . She's not hard, or scornful, or angry . . . But for once I'd like to see a picture of her when she's just happy. But this is nice too.

at one point I was going to put together something describing how I made this, but figured no one would ever give a rat's ass. There's a little more to the pic (it goes down to the waist), but I didn't want to submit it until I had time to make some kind of background. It's also painfully bright on any monitor but the one I used while I was coloring it.
The pose, well, the face at any rate, was based off a drawing of Pearl in a doujin I got a few years back. It's been my favorite for ages.

Ain't that the friggin' truth. Heck, there needed to be more OFFICIAL artwork. The character profiles were great, but there should have been more of them doing things and interacting.

I'd like to see one of Niccolo swindling someone and one of Pearl being ditzy. Also one of Elazul being completely oblivious to all of the young ladies who have a crush on him.

Very cool piece. Great feeling and emotion with the expression and posing. The detail on the hair layers is great, seems to be somewhat of a trademark, no? The shading on this one is exceptionally well done, really makes it feel soft and almost introspective, very effective.

She does have weird hair. Very frustrating hair too. Trying to get it to look good is a major pain. I can only imagine what she would have to go through in the morning.
