Edit- got the updated version up. Lots of lovely looking snow, borrowing tricks fromaround the web (which didn't quite work right ;( ) and one from messa
I alsoadded in a couple of subtle things, including flushing up the cheeks a bit.
This is going out on my xmas cards. Anyone wanting one can have one free, at
least as long as I can pay for the things. Leave me a note or something.
So what do we have here? We have Pearl from LoM (not entirely happy
with her hair) and Sariel (not entirely happy with him entirely) from
whatever corners of imagination spawned him. I can totally see Pearl
getting the urge to chuck a snowball at someone. Maybe I should redraw
this with Escad?

I really like this piece, it has great atmosphere, with the soft shadows on the snow, and the playfull poses. The snow itself looks really well done, and the details, like the rosy cheeks and all the different layers of the girl's hair, and the subtle shading within it looks great.
While the poses are great, the boysexpressions looks sort of blank, try adding more detail around the eyes and such...actually now that I really look, I think the expression looks off because he is looking away from the girl and off to the side, when it seems like he should be looking at her playfully. Another thing I noticed is that your ink/linework often comes out rough and uneven. For most things, like clothing and background it doesn't really show, but for closeup detail like hair and face, the rough lines really detract from the piece. Smooth those lines out and it would look alot better.

The lines were rough because I was trying to follow a tutorial by Messa. She doesn't ink her artwork. She definitely gets better results from it than I do, so I'll probably go back to my microns.
Sariel (the guy on the card)... I think it's beginning to show that he just doesn't grab me like he ought to. He's supposed to be unaware of his impending snowballing, hence the calm expression; it ought to be more mischievous, considering he was going to do exactly the same thing Pearl has done. Good eye, bro.
