Monid had been waiting for what seemed like hours at one of the many tables dotted along the ball room. Rhiannon did not show. Instead of getting up to leave, Monid passed most of the time dancing with xenos and a strange masked angel who had some how got away Mid-dance. After exhausting himself, he managed to drag himself to a chair. Thoughts of Rhiannon came back to him. When they first met, she was only kind to him, laughing at his first attempts to communicate with a live creature other than himself. He kept on recounting memories from when they met until he almost nodded off. Then he saw her. Stepping into the ballroom, head down, and shyer then ever. Monid stood up quickly, almost tumbling over. Rhiannon looked beautiful. Her dress, countless shades of blue, glimmered in the lighting of the nearly empty ball room. Her hair was delicately draped over her shoulders in thin curls, her ebony earrings gleaming. Monid was in front of her before she realized he was there. All her thoughts jumbled together as she fought to get out an apology, her face turning scarlet. " I...I'm ..I didn't mean to be-...!" Monid held up a finger to his face, signifying silence. His eyes held a gentle smile as he took her hand and led her to the center of the room. She spoke quietly, looking at the ground. "...i ..didn't make it in time....and now the balls over." her eyes lost their sheen as she spoke. Monid squeezed her hand, letting out a small airy chuckle. < Is there any reason we cannot dance now?> Rhiannon looked up, her eyes wide. A small smile danced its way onto her lips, then a grin. " Thank you Monid....thank you." The tall purple man took a deep bow.
