I'M FREEEEEEEEEEE BITCHESSS. Dear god. I finally got this finished. I started it in August. I knew it was going to be elaborate but not THIS elaborate. Photoshop was being a dick to me almost the entire time. Needless to say I hate this thing now because it's old. And all the lineart sucks now. I'm not out of my rut yet. Painting skills got a little better. Learned a lot. That's all I'm happy about really.This is for Hetherev. It is large. Fortunately for you all I was too lazy to do any sort of text. Laugh with me as we can't keep a straight face looking at some of these horrible examples of anatomy. Believe me. I'm laughing HARD. lol.

He was exploring. Originally it was a hot spring but I realized there were going to be visibility issues doing that.

Amazing, very dynamic!. The way you divided each panel is very clever, making it easy and fluid to read. I literally gasped in the second to last panel, great choice on camera shots!

This is amazing! Your comment goes on about the bad anatomy, but I swear, you don't notice unless you're looking for it; the guy's shape and motion are so dynamic and fluid, it all seems very natural. Really, really great.

your comment is sooo comforting. firstly coz photoshop can be a MASSIVE dick and my first thought was the size of this (300dpi too??)
and secondly hating after you've finished is common in everyone right? i hope. keep telling yourself its a sign of you constantly improving. its an awesome experiment. i hate all that wolf/man bull on DA but this is the first piece i like.

I think I scanned it at 400dpi. It's a compilation of five 75inch files shrunk down and stitched together.
Hahaha it totally is. Only about a third of my work I still like looking at after about a week. I try never to delete anything I don't like though. I just put it in the folder of shame so that people can look and see which of my deviations I hate most. Lol. And yes. Lots of self encouraging. I always know that when I get frustrated it means I'm improving in one way or another.

If you don't like photoshop why not try the gimp project,
I think it's less annoying and more comprehensive

Oh don't get me wrong. I love photoshop. I know photoshop 7 like the back of my hand. Photoshop was being mean because its max file size is 75 inches. I had 5 files, all 75 inches long, because I left all the lineart in it's working size. Even after I scaled it down -and mashed them into one file- to the size that I uploaded it actually still is cutting it very close. Haha.
More unhappy because all of the lineart was done in august, four months ago, and my understanding of anatomy is much better. But eh, whatcha gonna do. I learned a lot. Just had to stick with it.

hah, in that case don't go NEAR the GIMP. It sucks at handling large files, although it does do pretty things with it's ink tool.

Rofl. Yeah I've used it once or twice way back when for altering 3d model textures. Abandoned it shortly after.
