They remind me a bit of Anna Varney for some reason (and I don't mean that insultingly to either Anna or your work).
I agree about the texture of the metal, the whole thing looks as if you could touch it and it would feel right, simply on virtue of the colouring.

Maybe it's just me, having just bought a Sopor Aeternus album. It was the shape and whiteness of their faces/heads and the aerial looked a bit like his/her high ponytail thing.
Anyway, it's still gorgeous work.
