annd 4/5ths of the way through inking a commission my microns died. so i decided to actually be productive and finish a picture i already had started in the meanwhile.sometime Crow sends his pet raven (also named Crow) to do his dirtywork. normal Crow is probably hidden behind a tree somewhere watching to see if Claire is properly wooed. whether or not she is depends on if she realizes the flower is from this Crow or the other Crow. i think she'll probably get the hint. i actually really like how this turned out. which makes me happy because i'm rarely really pleased with claire pics. but i like her face and floffy ears and her foot. my only big gripe is that i hate/suck at soft shading hair so i'm not huge on how that bit came out. ah well.
ps- she's floating, just in case anyone was confused or something.
pps- i'm too lazy to make this a print. if you want to buy it as one or something, ask.
clothing textures came from [link] which has some beautiful stuff.
crow and other hidden crow belong to , claire is mine, no taking, thanks. inked w/ a micron, colored in photoshop. faving w/o commenting is boo and all of that.

that's why i don't use microns anymore.....they die easily. i use a more german approach, faber castell.....the only down side to faber castell pens is, that thier thinnest one is as thick as a german's eyebrow.....in comparison to micron's thinnest pen......i think i'm getting a bit punchy. *.* sorry for the mindless rant!!

also i love how the crow is way down farther than her but still her line of sight matches up perfectly with it. i sometimes see pictures where the line of sight is always waaayy off, and it bugs me to no end.

go through fashion magazines, specifically the ones with the kinds of clothes in them your characters wear. looking at 50 pairs of paints or shirts on various people in various poses helps with the folds and stuff.
