NICE THINGS.stupid title length.
damn i have a headache. hn.
i've been wanting to draw duncan for a bit (this is vert's fault, for drawing sloanes. sloanes make me want to draw duncans. damn you), and failing really hard. i doodled this at like 4 am last night then finished it today. i like her hair. i always like her hair. it's out of controoooolll. becca said she wanted to ruffle it.
so uh. she's putting on her jacket. that's about it. good for her.
and sumi's still prettier.

Hi Sashamya! I'm new on board and the person who recommended me is also a big fan of your's. Her name is Ashleyw. I know it's not much coming from a stranger, But I added this to my favorites so I can have a quick link to all your other drawings as well.
This is a really "kewl" and "Kahwaii"-ness drawing.
But really...
What caught my attention was your green on white or white shadow on green. Whatever you specialize it's name to be but it just popped out and said, "Hi Kiyo! Love me!"
The basic jeans, shirt and black jacket give it a nice "homeworld" look to it. Like she's a down to Earth girl and I admit your drawings and use of colors make me sooo jelous. I will strive harder in the name of Sashamya and Ashleyw.

for the silhouette i just select all the area around her, then go to select > inverse. and it'll select just her, then go to a new layer, flood fill w/ white, and ctrl t to enlarge it. holding shift so it doesn't deform. badah

After reading your journal post, I feel I should apologize, as I'm one of the people who just favorited this picture and didn't leave any sort of comment x_x; I don't remember if I had an actual reason, but now that I think on it, that does seem pretty rude. So I'm here to try and remedy the situation, as best I can.
I have not read any of the other comments, so I apologize if this is redundant. I like the use of color in this picture, mostly because there isn't an overuse of the color green in her clothing, even though she's Irish. It makes her seem more real to me, and not necessarily defined strictly by her heritage. I really like the action of her putting her coat on, because it's a mundane, everyday activity we don't really think about, and yet you've presented it for consideration to a viewer unused to seeing such images, which makes it interesting. I like the use of a darker green in her eyes, with a lighter green as the background. I really like the way she's leaning a little to put the jacket on. I like the way you inked that jacket, and I like how the one hand is sticking out and has a black glove on it. For some reason, this image also made me think of the movie, The Boondock Saints. Have you ever seen it? It's about two Irish guys who live in Boston, and go around killing gang members and dirtbags in the name of God. It's a good flick. I guess when I see the jacket and the glove, I think hitman, for some reason, and that makes me think of that movie.
As for criticisms, I don't see much I don't like...umm...your linework is gorgeous. I have only a few things about the CGing that bother me a bit. The shading across her chest/breast area seems far too...straight, far too linear. That line of shadow might want to curve more, to emphasize the curvy nature of the breasts. The only other thing I can see is a small patch of barely distinguishable shadow under the breast, made by the jacket. You might want to make that a bit darker.
I love the CGing on the pants though. And keep in mind when you think on these criticisms that I'm a freshman in art college, and I'm still learning about the way light and shadows fall as related to fabric. So I could be out of line. But I thought I'd just give you something to think about, in case my thoughts do have some merit. It doesn't hurt to start examining these things, afterall, and one such as I must start somewhere 
I love the color of her hair and eyes though n_n she's such an interesting character. I hope to see more of her in your work in the future.
