Super excited about this C: It's *AlanaRoseheart 's first place prize for my contest! I drew her betafish dragon Anurak. He's such a lovely boi, I love all her fish dragons
Thanks to =Shinerai for helping with the shading, as well as the gradient map tutorial. I think I could've done a tad better on the contrast, but there'll always be room for improvement!

TAKES A DEEP BREATH
UGH I just can't get over this shading and the gradient and how the character kind of becomes a part of it, but still separate and it's just highlights them so well. I'm loving ALL THE DETAIL you put into this, like those scales ugh man just pets computer screen
I also can't get over those back legs, I'm just loving this pose so hard that I can almost picture him swimming in the water and THOSE FINS ARE BEAUTIFUL and they feel so lush and full of life.
This is an INCREDIBLE piece and it just radiates with the hard work that you put into it. I'm so happy to see one of my characters done by you and ugh man I'm hang this up on my wall.

Those delicate colors and shading really set up the scene wonderfully as those highlights fade towards the right side

Wow, the detail and shine on this is just completely stunning. I'm gonna be honest and say that when I saw you work on this in the stream, zoomed in and all, I thought you were painting a rocky background xD Then you zoomed out and I was like "What the... that was a creature? o.o" It turned out great <3
