let's see...Maka's Mom was about to hit her with a brush because Maka didn't clean up after herself, wake her up early in the morning, getting angry for asking a simple question, and now she's telling her to hurry up eating. like, lady, give her a freaking break! she's had a rough today between her father leaving her at the airport, spending all day trying to find her Mom's home without so much a snack, and sooner or later she's gonna find out her friend is dead. the least she could do is give Maka a few days to learn how things work around here.
