You have depicted this scene perfectly.
Most people make Chara as evil, or demony, or with melting eyes, yadda yadda the usual, and I'm tired of it.
THIS.....is perfect.
You have perfectly captured what the situation was like. Chara was just a kid, so clearly, their plans on saving monsterkind were obviously not well thought out (or even properly made. Most of it are just drawings!!) Asriel could tell this wasn't the best idea, but he went along with his friend anyway.
Now its artworks like these we need. Artworks that help you grasp the true image of Undertale. There are hidden depths to everything and everyone, and Chara clearly wasn't mentally stable (I blame abusive humans), and they weren't the greatest person either (they tried to commit suicide TWICE and succeeded on the second try, only this time it was for a better cause) but they weren't the worst either. If they were as evil as everypne said...why didnt they poison Asriel instead? He's a kid, so his immunity to poisons would be weaker. Or just murder him in his sleep? He's a boss monster, so his soul would last after death. Or why did they even bother making a sweater, and drawings? Or how about in the Genocide Route, they become silent when they lookat family photos?
Undertale shows you to look at everyone not from one, but from two different perspectives.
And thank you for reading this overly long comment. Took me 10 minutes to write and think up.

Yeah...I wonder why. The single thing that confirms it, according to Judgement Boy, is that 'Its me, Chara,' is written in white,' just like every normal text. So yeah...I believe that its our fault that happened. I mean, the game even has an official name for you! The Anomaly.
