Haha I love that part, and you guys look great! Your costumes look phenomenal; it must have taken you a long time to make them. Glinda's dress looks like a lot of effort went into it and I love the different layers on yours that gives it a different spin and makes it look more unique than the rest. c:

thank you so much
glindas bubble dress took us about 6 months. that was hard work, especially that lots of seqins. My elphaba dress was sewed in my holidays, so I spent almost the whole day for it and it me about 2 months.^^

Really, it took six months? That is very impressive and it does look like a lot of work was put into it as well as patience. And the Elphaba dress is just fantastic, of course less work than the Glinda dress but either way it's still amazing. c:

Elphaba was easier in design. It's just a tight top with two simple sleeves and the pattern for the skirt were simple as well. The skirt is tight at the waist and fans out very wide. It was time-consuming to sew all the different strips on it in different colours and in a different design.^^
The hadest work was to find some very good pictures from actresses (not onstage^^) where I could figure out all the details and a good access in the patchwork on the top.
Glinda contrastingly needed, in our case, about 50 leaves for the skirt in different sizes. As we come from Germany, we were mostly oriented towards the european Glinda-Bubble-Dresses, which were a little bit different to the dresses the actresses wore in America/Australia. We got very good pictures from a Glinda in the costume workshop. The hardest work was to put all the leaves straight on the skirt, to design the top, the collar and to put all the 64,000 sequins on it. Only the sequins took us about 2 months. xD
