*re-editThis was shot early one morning on Dartmoor, The rising sun burst through the thick cloud to dapple the hills in the distance with sunlight. You can just make out snow on the far hills and a thick blanket of fog rolled over the moor to add another dimension to a beautiful landscape.
i appreciate the composition could be better but this burst of light lasted for literally seconds so i consider myself lucky i got a shot at all.
This will be my last shot of the year and a fitting one i think, showing lots of elements of the wonderful Dartmoor National Park i am so lucky to live near, a truly magical place....

I love going on Dartmoor, I am starting photography, when I get my camera, I really want to go back to Dartmoor it would make some great pictures trouble is it is quite a long way to travel

Beautiful. In this one shot you have so many different colours, the rocks with moss, the warm light on the left side and the darkness of rain on the right.
This photo sums up Dartmoor for me, as its beautiful and the weather can change on the fly!
Would you mind if I sumbitted this to my Dartmoor-Art group? I thought it would be very cool to have alot of dartmoor photos etc in one place.
