Description well i guess this is becoming somewhat my signature, the crops and fields that i am surrounded by in all directions in devon....lucky that
This is a black and white conversion (in case you didnt spot that) of a shot of the other oak tree....when i say other the other i refer to is here [link] i found this morning. The weather was perfect for crisp landscape shots so a black and white conversion seemed inevitable.

Id increased sharpness contrast and saturation in camera whilst also changing the tone. A polariser was used to bring out more contrast in the sky.
Shot and processed in cs2 raw, again slightly increasing contrast tweeked the white balance to be more accurate. Increased shadow, then converted to jpeg levels adjusted, selective curves dodge and burn, convert to black and white with channel mixer increasing contrast whilst maintaining exposure, curves adjusted slight dodge and burn on foreground to balance image. Framed in photoshop...if your at all interested...if your not your probably asleep now and not reading this...........

i think it's a lot because of earth itself... we depend on it a lot... energy it gives... specially when you put your hands deeply in it.... mmmmmmm ))

Lovely dynamic lead in, sharp throughout and details kept in all but the darkest areas. Very good shot.

It reminds me of my idea with "Oligarchy", but that oak seems to be the only king
Good work with raw format and PS, and very kind of you letting us know how you work. Maybe we could learn something.
