Edit: I just wanted to say I used all default Photoshop brushes on this.I get super embarrassed posting stuff like this but Shikeleostar said I had to - so here it is.
This is 25 year old Gary Oak from a fan comic based on the Pokemon anime I've been doing. It's essentially about a Pokemon war. He is one of the main characters, the other being Ash, obviously.

Anyways, all embarrassment aside over posting half naked men to my gallery, I really wanted to practice some lighting and background stuff I can use in my comic. I really need to focus on proportions as well.
Now that this is done, time to work on page 2 of chapter 2.

It's just a ton of practice, and a lot of trial and error. You should have seen the way this looked after the first shading attempt. I deleted all those layers and started again. It was horrible.

True. You should see my very first attempts. I was so hesitant with it I did no where near enough shading. And before that I didnt even shade. My old art is so cringy! >_<

So far, no, but that would make a great parody scene to paint.
The tattoo was a little visible on page12 when they were changing, but I it was hard to see once I shrunk the file size for upload.
