Description This was a commission for and it was a very challenging one. Anyway, these are his characters Nalide'el (the female) and Calidhrone. I'm sorry it took me so long to get this done, but once my friend loaned me her tablet I was very determined to get it finished tonight. I want to finish all my commissions if possible, especially while inspiration is running high. Anyway, I really hope it turned out as you expected, metalviking. Enjoy! ^_^ Download for full view.

these 2 are characters in a story i've been writing for quite some time now. and yes, the story im writing is heavily influenced by Tolkien and The Silmarillion, lol

I freakin' LOVE IT!! I wish I could super-favorite artwork, because that's where this would go! I really, really like it! Nalide'el has become my favorite character in my writings and you really captured her perfectly! I've also been thinking about Calidhrone and how he would dress and look, and you got him good too I don't remember if I asked for green eyes, but it works great! I keep jumping back to Nalide'el's beautiful silver hair and garnet eyes. She is supposed to be a real head-turner and the most beautiful being in the land, and you really captured that
The background is really stunning too! The bright blue sky against the green forest and quiet river tricks me to think its real, and I could go there and be happy forever

and don't worry, i understand you took a long time to make it great! the best things always take precission and a careful attention to every detail. Waiting for something good makes it so much better when you see it
Thanks again Mandi, after I get my rent and food money together (and a rennfest gift for my GF, who has been sick the past week) i will commision you for another artwork. And i promise I won't ask for something too crazy in detail this time you really inspire me to become a better artist. keep up the great work, and I hope life starts moving in a less stressful direction for you

I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I read this LOL Silly, I know but I always stress out whenever somebody commissions me and I complete their piece until I hear from them because I'm concerned that they won't like it. Anyway, about Calidhrone's eyes, yes you did infact. When you gave me the descriptions this is what you said: "His eyes were green, which was also very rare for AlathΓ€in Elves" Soooooo I made them green! They also go well with his firey hair. Anyway, I'm so glad you like the background too! that took a really long time to do but I think I took the longest on the hair. I do each strand individually so it took agesssss with how long Nalide'el's hair is. I'm glad I was able to capture them for you though and glad you are so happy with your drawing. I really hope it was worth the wait and again I am very sorry. When I was lacking inspiration, I really didn't want to work on commissions because I didn't want to produce crappy art and disappoint you or anybody else for that matter. So yeah. anyway you're very welcome and I am so happy you like it.

i was going to aske you about the hair, because I use the smudge tool for the hair in my artwork, and that usually takes some time.
I've been smiling all day during work just thinking about how awesome this is ^_^ no bullshit, hahaha. I've never done a commision, so i don't fully know how stresful it can be. although, i constantly thought about doing a great job when I drew the Squall x Rinoa piece for you. i've been writing ALOT more and organizing everything with my story over the past few months so that I can have the first book finished by next Feb. and hopefully published by the end of the summer (crosses fingers)
I'm looking at the belt now, and it looks awesome! Other than my description, i really never had a picture of Calidhrone ('dh' is pronounced 'th' in my head the way I had with Nalide'el. I really love this, so much and is another reason why I'm falling in love with her (Nalide'el) I cry when i write about her, becuase she goes through so much tragedy and sadness
