Gorgeous piece of art. And it is interesting to see these two together, I think it is often overlooked that Galadriel spent most of the First age in Doriath and surely she learned a lot from Melian.

Their friendship is only briefly mentioned, but I think it defined Galadriel as she's known later, quite a lot.

I agree. There are very many extremely interesting facts in the Silm that are only briefly mentioned and on the one hand, I'd have loved it, if Tolkien had expanded on some of them, but on the other hand, it leaves a lot for imagination and interpretation.

Обе просто фантастически красивые получились! и лица необычные, очень нравится когда красота- она на грани, ещё чуть-чуть и будет уже не красота а нечто другое, получается очень остро (прошу прощения за сбивчивое описание эмоций).
И очень здорово что вы изобразили этот период жизни Галадриэль, его так редко изображают, а ведь её обучение у Мелиан тоже интересный момент. Магия, которой владеет Мелиан здесь просто становится материальной!

Я, признаться, тоже очень люблю именно этот период в жизни Галадриэль и всегда хочется поглубже закопаться в отношения Мастер/Ученик, жалко, профессор нам всего пару строк о голых фактах оставил ))
