Really nice work! I just started digital drawing and was wondering what you would recommend for the software (free if poss). I was recommended Krita before but found it quite hard to use for comic strip or otherwise structured drawing (currently I mostly use Photoshop)
Any comments would be really helpful,

There are many good and bad softwares to draw. I really recommend Firealpaca, Its free and is almost the same as painttool sai! Just with the fact that painttool sai costs money. so, yea! you can download firealpaca on steam or on the website

Because it seems you're working on a budget, I doubt you'd have a drawing tablet. So try to purchase a stylus of some kind for a phone or tablet and use some drawing apps on there until you work up to buying a drawing tablet.
