The first and third were my favorite games, the second one was too easy to beat ):3
And the ghouls and monsters were some of the most original I'd ever seen...the game scared the hell out of me though, and made me grow up with bad nightmares D:

I found it funny that the game was released right before the ESRB got into business and it only had the parental warning written in tiny text on the box. I wasn't even around when the game was out, though, but I have played a few roms of it. It's pretty sweet.

well, our version is unofficial, we haven't had any contact with Namco, so we had to change the name of the game (we take Living Hell).
The gameplay will be most similar to splatterhouse 2 than 3 version (side-scrolling), and the most of bosses will be redesigned, but some of the characters of the three old versions, will be appear in our game.
If we respect the work plan, the game will be ended in a few months, and then we'd upload it into a web and it would be playable online.

Great job my friend! Hell yeah, Splatterhouse was probably the only "survival horror" that ever stroke in my heart, also for the fact it came many years before the actual brand of horror games came in.
Splatterhouse 3 was my least favourite, mainly for breaking with the old gameplay and the "shout-outs to horror movies" tradition... but the Giant Boreworm was one of the few monsters I really liked, he had such a nice taunting laugh!

Oh god, I can't believe just how good this. This image rips out my spinal cord and clubs me to death with it. It's just that good. The figure work and coloring. The energy. It's a fantastic tribute to one of the bloodiest hack-and-slash games of ALL TIME.
