Description Heavily based on Morsing's rendition.

This was made for Mount & Blade: The Fourth Age, a new mod I'm working on.

Gildor Inglorion of House Finrod is among the remaining elves in Middle-Earth in the fourth age. Upon the request of Elladan, the new lord of Imladris, Gildor has taken up arms in protection of Rivendell and the restored Ost-in-Edhil.

I'm not a fan of the Finrod House crest, and I saw it mentioned that it may have been made by men for him. So Gildor and his host will carry the crest of Finarfin into battle.

Made with photoshop, it took me a few hours I guess.

I think there was also meant to be a crest for Finrod that resembles that of Finarfin, but it was never published or described any closer.

I can tell something about the elvish symbolism in crests. The more patterns pointing towards the edge, the most significant person it describes. Finwë had 16 patterns; Fëanor, Fingolfin and Finarfin had 8 (two eldest had flames, but Finarfin had rays). The crests of males were squares standing on their corners, the crests of females were circles.

So yes, the harp crest was definitely made by Men. It's lacking some of the related elvish traditions.
