Oh God...*drops* It's finally done..these pages are killing me. Who's idea was it to make them color? Not mine...Sorry it took so long, things kept getting in the way, good things so I regret nothing! Waiting increases the feels factor anyways...and for the love the Sage, please comment. OMG, you finally did it!
This page is your masterwork so far! It's such a dynamic beginning, Sasuke's not holding back and is countering Kakashi's harsh words, he's full of emotion and boyyyy, it seems so right what he says! On the first view, that is!
Meanwhile Naruto's world's breaking apart when he suddenly learns that his "nightmares" were all too real and he almost killed Sasuke. I so much love this fourth panel which is showing parts of his memory coming back to him or better said falling down on him like a rain of shards. His face shows ultimate shock and guilt, it's as if the floor beneath him is ripped away and he's having no ground anymore to stand on.
This also is such a perfect reference to canon when Naruto learned HE was the one who hurt Sakura in his beast form. He also was petrified and it had consequences for his further development. He decided to never again "lean" Kurama's power and instead enhanced the level of his own power. I think you aim for a change of Naruto's mind as well, but in this case it's not just about his decision to never use Kurama'spower again but also a change of mind about who's REALLY the most precious person in his life.
Astoundingly Naruto doesn't remember the kiss, but just the caress of Sasuke's hand in his face, a clear sign that he's still in denial of his true feelings. But I'm sure the next page will fix that too.
In sorrow of Sasuke's still critical condition Kakashi's changing his tactic from scolding to reasoning, showing his nicer side. And it works, not at once of course, cause Sasuke's a stubborn Uchiha, but finally the message that Kakashi's caring for him and his students is getting through and Sasuke's full of shame for his recklessness not considering his death could emotionally hurt other people like Kakashi and Sakura and last but not least NARUTO.
Though you made it look a bit more casual I clearly sense your KakaSasu-shipping in the 8th panel, when Kakashi tilts Sasuke's head and says it would have been simply inacceptable to lose them both.
I usually don't like this teacher/student pairing, but in this case it really looks cute and touching, so I'll let it slip.
Ha, I simply love the last two panels when Sasuke learns Naruto overheared everything and Naruto gets aware he's busted. They both look like their hairs are standing up even more at this moment.
I don't know who told you to color the pages, but I simply LOVE it! I vote for going on like this. Β

Everything that Sasuke says is valid. Even the part about Kakashi not being able to handle the fact that he couldn't help Naruto himself. But that's a very complex analysis of his character, and unfortunately I won't get into it in this doujin, as much as I adore Kakashi.
Correct again about Naruto's change of opinions. This is a critical moment for both of them. They will either make or break any potential future relationship. And it's not just Naruto, Sasuke was desperate when he kissed Naruto and therefore he may regret his actions because he feels Naruto would reject him. It's all very complex psychology xD But he doesn't recall the kiss yet, and Sasuke doesn't know that xP Not sure how I will handle that.
Yes, I ship KakaSasu very hard. I think they're adorable and sexy together...but in this case it's Sensei-Student relationship, and that's very sweet too...so I did my best to make as much KakaSasu as possible, because there is not enough in Canon. And if Kakashi had gotten through to Sasuke a bit more, maybe he wouldn't have left the village...maybe. I just love Kakashi...
I'm also the one who decided to make this in color...I wanted to experiment and now I'm stuck doing all the pages in color; but I don't mind so much b/c it looks great, better than black and white. Thanks for your lovely long comment, I love it =^__^=

I know what you're talking about. Kakashi's personality's more complex than it hit's the eye. Though he always seems ironical and cool in even dangerous situations, he has that inner fear about not being able to protect the ones precious to him. He failed so many times in the past about that, that it's astounding he can maintain his poise. But this may be just surficial to hide his true feelings and to be able to handle the current situation properly like expected from a Jounin which he is.
Oh, oh, and here I was thinking the critical time was over, since Sasuke survived. How WRONG I was about that! I just hope they make it. Did I already mention that I LOVE happy endings? *shows puppy eyes*
I have an idea how you could handle it: Best would be Sasuke mentioning the kiss offensively, pretending it was just a trick to get Naruto back to normal (since he assumes Naruto knows it). And then Naruto: "...wait... you KISSED me?" Sasuke: "WHAT? You don't remember?" thinking "Damn, damn, damn, all for nothing!"
I kind of like Kakashi, but I'm not such a HUGE fan of him. I think he sucked up pretty well a few times in the past, especially when it came to Sasuke. Also he didn't acknowledge Naruto the way he'd deserved it. When he needed help for the Chunin exams, he just left him alone and preferred mentoring Sasuke. That's not what I'd expect of a good Sensei.
As I mentioned before, I don't like student-teacher relationships in general, but I don't mind if others do. It's just that bad side-taste of one party taking advantage of the inexperienced one. This is kind of unfair. I like it better when the odds are even, you know? But hey, no bad feelings, everyone can ship whichever pairing they like. 
You know that Jasu's having a friend who's shipping Sasuke/Danzo? How odd is that? But as I said, whatever someone likes is o.k.!
I understood the scene as a perfect sensei-student relationship, so I liked it. But your shipping was coming through nevertheless.

Well...Kakashi deciding to train Sasuke instead of Naruto was smart, in a way. First of all, they share the same change in chakra nature and Sasuke mastered the same change in chakra form as Kakashi (I'm a geek ok?). Plus, Kakashi saw himself in Sasuke; he was just like Sasuke when he was younger: rude, arrogant, very alone. Kakashi saw Sasuke walking down that dark path, just like he himself started doing while he was in ANBU, and he thought that training Sasuke would give him the motivation he needed to not stray. It didn't quite work out, unfortunately. I think Kakashi also knew that Naruto would end up training with Jiraiya, because he knew about Jiraiya's relationship to Minato and therefore he knew Jiraiya would feel responsible for training Naruto. Jiraiya is more compatible with Naruto's own chakra. PLUS, Kakashi did bring Naruto to the next level of training and had him learn Rasen-Shurriken. I wouldn't want to take away Naruto's relationship with Jiraiya, it was meant to be that way.
I think Kakashi did a great job with team 7, but he had fate against him. Naruto and Sasuke were always meant to go their own way, and eventually unite again and change the cycle they're both a part of. I love Kakashi, he is absolutely one of my favorites, top 3, I adore him so much. He's such a good character, a good person. I'd date him LOL!!! He loves his kids. I'm really passionate about it, as you can tell....xD

One thing certainly is true: Jiraya fit best to Naruto as sensei. They also were very similiar in character and stamina (though Jiraya was an old pervert 
I liked Jiraya very much and was sad when he died. I even wrote a plot in which he managed to survive, but I just did it for myself and a good friend. It's nothing I would post here.
I think of all the characters I like Naruto best, cause he's going his own way, far from what everyone expects. He has the strength to break through walls of hatred and prejudice and that's amazing. The only thing bothering me is his stupidity, but I guess real courage only can grow on stupidity. If you're thinking too much about something, you'll never do anything. So there's a certain point in featuring him like that. They shouldn't exaggerate it so shamelessly, that's all.

Well said about Naruto. I adore him too. Couldn't have said it any better. Although, I don't think he's dumb at all. Any lack of common knowledge would be due to his upbringing; he had no one to tell him anything, it's a miracle he's no antisocial. In fact I wouldn't say he's dumb at all. He comes off as dumb, but really it's just his way of thinking. Like his determination to never give up, sometimes comes across as stupid. In every day life he is a bit thick, but I just think he's shy most of the time. When he's in a serious situation he fully understand everything (like Hinata declaring her love and understanding Sasuke etc). I think he's the smartest one there xD

Yes, it's the contradictionary part which disturbs me. Naruto's very clever when it comes to fighting tactics, he always builts traps for his opponents and fakes them with a seemingly original while the real Naruto disguises himself as a Kage Bunshin and appears out of nowhere behind his foe. When someone is that sly how can he act dumb at the most obvious situations? He should have recognized that the person in front of him was the Sage of the Six Pathes. That's what I call exaggerating his lack of common knowledge. He fought Obito and Madara right before and knows how a Sage mode looks like. If he couldn't recognize that, he'd be not much of a ninja, wouldn't you say so too? But it's the fault of the authors, they think this would be funny, so they just do it. I say Naruto has developed far beyond that and the authors should stay realistical with their description of characters.
It's one of my favourite item that Naruto's able to get serious when he's facing dangerous situations and grows beyond himself. It's a theme you find very often in mangas, it's the same in One Piece and Fairy Tail for example. But you find it also in Marvel plots. I think it's something fundamental people want to believe in, that they can face every danger, if the situation demands it. That everyone is stronger inside that it appears. This is certainly true, a gift by nature as a means to survive.
