Here we go! Another short Doujinshi. It will be longer than my last one, but a LOT shorter than the big one I'm planning. In truth, I'm still trying to find the guts to start that project. This story is a 'what if' scenario of what I think would have happened if Naruto had turned four tails when he was a Genin on a mission or something. It's pre-Chuunin-exams. And it's definitely SasuNaru, shounen-ai.I would really appreciate your comments on this series, for both the story and the art, especially the art; I'm trying a completely foreign color palette for me, so a different look/feel. I wasn't sure at first, but now I quite like it. Well, you let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy it ^_^

It's really sweet of you to be thinking about your watchers that way! There should be more artist that can openly say that! And I can totally relate, you wan the best for the people that have given you the best, right? I've read so much uncompleted work and, yea it is disappointing but ya know what when you get started on your own work and you look back at it... look at the bright side of it! You should want to look back at than as something that'll push you, something that can tell you that you can't give up yet.
Many artist out there will say they need a break from their projects for a while, and sure watchers will be disappointed but they know that the artist deserves a rest. You have many, many ways of heading into this project, for instance:
- working with someone and turning it into a collaboration
- setting certain goals, like check points... this many pages in these many days and I'll reward my self with this long of a break
You can take Yasuli as an example, she's hard working and devoted but she'll take a break when she thinks she deserves one, like right now, right? She wants to lay low and rest for a while during this time of season, and that's totally except able.
I had started a fanfiction about a year ago but when I was half way through it when I decided started to review it and I totally hated the way the story was written. I took it down and told all the followers about how I wan't satisfied with my work, that I wanted to go over it and make it better. I wanted to make it more deserving to be read and here I am back to where I was, all satisfied with my work because I knew that they deserved better but more than that I knew that I deserved better. Sometimes you have to look at you want more then what others want. You have to see how you're improving. That's perfectly normal and totally respectable!
Even I'm taking a break after getting it back to where I was, since my exams are coming up and my watchers have been really nice and patient!
See? You even think it'd be amazing if you could finish it all, the only thing you need to put into it is will power and courage! You have the skills put them to use!
200+ pages does seem hard but, hey, the Naruto fandoms been taking all of Kishimoto's stretching. If you decided to take a step forward, I bet all your reader will wait for you too, you just have to start it of.
Sorry for the Essay - haha - but i'd hate to see people make the same mistakes I've made. I regretted it and I bet you will too, I try to step in where ever I can! I feel so nosy, I hope you don't mind me trying to convince (I guess?) you.
I did the same thing to Yasuli when she decided to delete her work, fortunately her watchers were able to convince her otherwise.
Just don't do anything you'll regret and I bet most of the people will have something from their experience they would like to share with you about to make you reconsider. All you have to do is ask.

Funny you mention Jasu. I probably admire her most of all, for exactly the reason you stated. She just keeps plugging away at her doujinshi. I also wrote her a long note pretty much begging her not to take her stuff down. I'm glad we all got her to reconsider. I don't really have a long answer to your very wonderful and considerate reply. Only that I'm grateful you took the time, and that it actually really did help. In the end, I know I'll at least start the project, and I know in my heart I'll do my best to finish it. Fear is a powerful thing, but keeping in the spirit of Naruto, I gotta be gutsy. A gutsy artist!
One of the fears I face with my doujinshi is that it takes place after the war, which means I'll be presuming a lot of things. I don't know why that freaks me out, it just does lol! Another roadblock is that I stopped my fanfiction because another story came out around the same time that was similar to mine, and it was the BEST fanfiction I've ever read, in any fandom. It was like this person was a screenwriter from this series, they wrote it so well. And you can imagine I got so discouraged and felt really inadequate. And I feel really inadequate next to Jasu. Of course logcially, that shouldn't matter (lol yes Spock).
Well my first step is to finish writing the script. I'm 80% done. And then really...to just start drawing it page per page.

I find it weird on how many things I'm guessing spot on today!! ahah, especially towards you and we only just started talking. This kind of atmosphere gives out a nice feeling, right? Getting along with someone right of the bat!

Fear can be really overpowering but if you pay no attention to it, it'll go away because all it wants if to feed on your attention, and negative emotions.
That's great! I always mention Naruto when I feel like someone needs help and why wouldn't I? He's my role m,odle after all! See a guy that doesn't even exist has done so much in many people's lives! It's almost unrealistic, right? i feel like I'm acting so deep, corny and mush but when it comes to Naruto, I feel truly inspired! Ask animaid101!! haha~ She had to tortured by me going on and on about him for months!

I guess, it;s because you're making a huge prediction, you're prediction what going to be the ending of the #1 Ninja Manga series going on right now! You probably feel like people might get disappointed by the fact that you weren't able to make it as good as the actual ending, but that's not the case at all! As I watcher I can say for sure that we love predictions!
espesially the Sasunarusasu ones!

That must have been a real surprise! Two fanfiction launched at a little space in between with the same story base seem almost unreal and on top of that, the way you describe it makes me want to read it when I don't even have the time to! Out of curiosity though, what's it called? and what is the name of the fanfic that you wrote that was identical to it, and is it still up?
I want to compare them.
Don't feel discouraged! Don't do that at all! You need to learn from this writer, if this person seems so amazingly talented you don't back down and say "First place is all yours..." you watch you opponent and learn from there mistakes because in reality you're not taking advantage of them because they are teaching you!
Ya know hat they say; "Keep your friends close... but keep your enemies closer."
Except change the enemy part to rival! Everyone learns from each other, the don't learn from themselves, they don't know what to do in the first try.
Jasu is an amazing artist and her writer skills have improved so much it's hard to believe someone can come this far but you can be just like her! All you have to do is start it of, because you might not be so "Out there" yet but you have to learn to play before you can play, right?
Don't feel like you're worth nothing in front of people that seem like they could make millions in their sleep.
That's great! 80% You're almost there! I'll be rooting for you! Just 20% left, right? That should feel like nothing against what you've accomplished so far!
It'll be, okay, it doesn't need to start of perfect, progress comes after you've analyzed your data, just keep on taking baby steps and in time at all, running marathons will be a breeze.

I can also 100% relate to how Naruto affects you so deeply; he and many of the other characters, are as real to me as anything. I think a doctor would have a name for people like us but I don't really give a damn. Naruto especially actually really inspires me. Of course with all these negative thoughts I'm having I'm behaving more like Sasuke and you're my Naruto haha! People like Jau, AmanoChio, Uzucake, DaiKai, usura-tonkachi, they're my rivals, I'm very aware of it. But they're also my friends. I don't hate them for their success or their artistic prowess but I sure as hell try to catch up to them and beat them. That sounds like NaruSasu too...lol, I really don't mean to.
I've read everything you've said and I've taken it to heart. You express yourself very well. And like Naruto, you're very convincing ^^ You can be my Naruto if you want haha!!! I'll be glum lil Sasuke (nah jk I'm nowhere near that depressed).
The fanfics are not Naruto, they're Stargate Universe. If you haven't watched the series you will be 100% lost. But if you still want them, note me and we can continue this convo there. xox
