Description
Ever since that plot twist with Mal being the original and mike doesn't know he is the personality that bring up a lot of assumptions about Mal's past. So I decided to draw something like this with everyone giving Mal a big group hug. since they are his only comfort...despite of all things that just happen. Noted that I'm speaking this in a real world sense.Related content

Mal is being interview how fans saying how Mal was a horrible villain on TD but I love Mal and he's the greatest and bestest villain on TDAS and he's #1 villain to me

I still don't see what the problem is either and I blocked that person because he hates Mal and he said bad stuff about him which I didn't like. I wouldn't be friends with him he's so mean. Are you friends with him?

i know, it quite an emotional story. Kinda wished it like that in the cartoon but no because they want to keep kid-friendly. but for a guy who doesnt like mal, he did a pretty good job on that haha.

Fresh tv just give us a backround story and info so all the hate and arguing can stop :/ i have autism so i love shows that have characters with different men tal or physical disabilities cause it make us feel good to get awareness and not censore it but, i hope folks learn about a disability more before having characters or show like that just to avoid the mess it can cause if not interpreted rigth people got mad about the button and if you like my little pony remember derpy and how some people overreacted and got mad?

agreed! But i guess since TD is a kid shows, they dont want to go in-depth with the characters bec they are worried it might be "too much" So what? they can't put these kind of thing under a sheet just so they can shield it away from kids. I'm guessing the writers didn't expect he would go far with this character particularly. which become a downfall and inaccurate. so yes they need to do more research. i don't mind shows with that as well, it acknowledge what people have to go through.
That is why i drew this picture to shows that people with MPD created alternatives so they can hide themselves. With mal being the original, it like in way he created them for his only comfort, to hide himself from the world, just like how people with MPD feels. And i want to show what TD did is inaccurate to have these characters to so wanting to put down Mal. without giving a thought about helping him. I don't like how TD shows us can be run away and be cure from a disease or a disorder. it should had been more of embracing it and live to the fullest !

Yeah saying she was offensive they had to edit her crossed eyes and her name is no longer used ugh, i understand folks who have kids with illnesses don't want any offensive thongs on tv but having a diabled character on any show is not bad as long as they portai it corectly but teach them when their young some say middle school is when they should learn but thats exactly why bullying is so bad cause they wait to long to teach them out of ignorance and fear.

that sucks, i liked derby the way she is, i think they still drew derby as she is like in the comic. and yeh i agreed by the time kids learn how about these things, it already too late. I dont even know why it a bad thing to teach kids these kind of thing early, there nothing wrong with that. I think that way cartoon can't portray disabled characters correctly, because they feared it might be "too much" let be honest here, what does that even mean?

well if you think about it mike trigger whenever he heard zoey cried for help. Mal doesnt need trigger to come out. and the fact he can alter his mind world anyways he wants, mike can't even do that. and also that tower with mal face on it that make it look like that mal central brain. also how he can used sevtlana skills. That proves more that Mal is the original because that is him mind and brain. so having Mal having more control in his mind more than mike does, it tell you he is the original

This actually proves nothing. Mal does have a trigger and his trigger is actually the most realistic. What you are saying shows that Mal had more control on the body, and this usually how it happens. Alters do try to take control and sometimes do have more control on the host's life than the host himself. It doesn't prove he is the original. It just proves he has and wants more control.

yes people with MPD do have hard time control their personalities, but it is impossible for the host to lose complete control over the alters. Mike has lost a complete control over mal, and the fact mal was able to "trapped" the alters, in his mind and manipulate everything in his minds, that mike can;t do, shows that Mal is the original. People with MPD, their alters cannot do something like that or to believes they can control their host. they're just personalities that the host's brain is not wire right.

Actually I heard about some alters who took control for years. I even heard about cases where the original disappeared completely and another alter took the role of the host (I even talked with such a person). So everything is possible.

well can it be possible true then that might be like mike who is the alter and Mal is the original, by you saying that. Because if you think about it physically not mentally that this mind's world of mike is being made more into mal's images. That proves that mal is the original and do you ever think about how there a button in mal tower? by me saying that this Mal tower is another way to look at maL's core center of the brain has a button for mike to pass and restart the whole things. If this were to be mike core it would had look more like mike. But it not and the fact that tower they say do belong to Mal. So it not like Mal change the tower looks. with mike press the button, Which then can allow Mike(alter) to take over mal. like you said alter can make original disappear.
if you think about it, people with MDP develop due a person's bad childhood or misbehaving like in some case, patient as experience with alcohol, sexual, or physical abuse. we don't know mike's past, but i can say his past might look good due to how he able to cope in sociality and able to get along with people like zoey and cameron. Mal in the other hands how he behaves, shows a concern of his past. he has no social skills let alone not even care about other people. People who has bad childhood, tend to develop lack of empathy.
you can say that mike might had developed Mal being who he is, but MPD happens with dramatic event in a person childhood. i doubt mike has experiences that, due how he can social and can get along with people. compared to mal. so as mal being original something might had happen in his past that caused him to have MPD. which then explain how Mal can't cope with the sociality
However though i wouldn't say completely since again it quite impossible, to completely to get rid of an alters or an host. that like saying they lost their memories

Well, you like the idea of Mal being the original. I don't. But nothing proves Mal is the original. Everything you said are just theories. I think the tower was in the shape of Mal's head because Mal created it that way, because he was ready to take full control. But it didn't take in count that Mike would resist so much cause he saw himself stronger than Mike (it's exaggerated, but in lots of portrayal the evil alter sees himself as the strongest, like Bryce in United States of Tara)
Anyway, we both know there is no such a thing like buttons and towers in the head, so I wouldn't base anything on this.

You say you don't like the idea of Mal being the original.
Let's say if the person whom you were speaking to, from your last post, told you they were the original and suppose he/she is actually the original (we wouldn't know unless you ask family or whatnot). If you're JUST discrediting them for being the original because you didn't like the idea of them being so, then whose to say they can or cannot be the original?
You like Mike, so you automatically credit him more as the original when he possibly could be just another ego (again, we will never be sure because we know nothing of his past or family history/background).
Furthermore, you said Mal has too many persecutor traits so you discredit him as the original. All the egos probably do have an equal probability of being the original. However, from my own opinion of what I have seen in the show (Mal's ID in Mike's pocket, Zoey and Cameron and even Mike acknowledging in shock that Mal is the original) and researched online about this disease state, Mal's personality comes closer in higher probability for being the original than the others.
The "tower" might mean nothing, but it could symbolize the fundamental core of the original's emotions, memories, ect.. You said you heard stories of the original disappearing completely, so then why could Mal not be the original if in following your statement, he could disappear forever (in which case he did) and his proposed alter ego, Mike, took over?

I know there no such thing like that. but tower is just symbol to give the viewer some visual what is going on in the brains in cartoon. and the tower do belong to mal not mike, so visually the core belong to Mal.
And what i said it not a theories, it's a facts to what i seen the show. i mean in most cases i studies most patients has gone through tough childhood and they hard time coping with the sociality let alone not able being close to people. It will take a lot of help for them to embrace it and cope with other people. Mike could believe he is original, because maybe Mal prefer to let him take over, because mal would think he will be favored more if he take in a personality that everyone will like. people with MPD hide themselves, that another reason how they got MPD. But the bryce case that just one of the rare cases, but in majority of the cases being studies, the most common thing they found with people with MPD is what i just said.
but we all have different point of views, but it not an idea of mal being the original due to that facts, being pointing out.

Just because you say that and you base it on what you studied (but mostly watch in TD, which is innaccurate), doesn't make it a fact. Those are theories. The tower's face doesn't mean it's the core. It could be the way Mal created his inner world.
I studied DID too. I even have a friend with it. I know people with DID go through trauma in the childhood. This trauma causes dissociation which leads to the creation of the alters. In some cases, the original disappears because he is very weak and can't develop, so an alter takes his place. In other cases, there are alters who take most of the trauma, so they hold anger and are dangerous (Mal is like that), but the original is still there.
