Description
This is part of an art trade with'So there I was, I almost reached the second boss of the game, my characters were all ready, I was just a few steps away from the door...
But then suddenly, a random encounter.
I sighed "Just a minor inconvenience, I'll just defeat theses monsters and move on" I uttered.
One of the enemies was a plant, a creature emitting some sort of gas.
I picked my moves and waited for my party to wipe them out.
*HELIVORE went first!*
"Really?" I yelled.
*HELIVORE used Gas!*
*Your party felt bloated...*
*Orange lunged... but he was being clumsy and missed!*
*Naby went for the face... but to no anvil!*
*Fia used Flamethrower... but apparently fire can miss!*
*Your party felt a overwhelming puffy feeling!*
"Bloated? That doesn't sound good."
I decided to run from the battle as I had no idea what was about to happen with this 'bloated' condition that the game mentioned.
*Got away safety!*
When I got to the overworld however, I was greeted with three sphere sprites, all of which were slightly bobbing up and down.
"W-What happened?"
Just to make sure my game wasn't having a glitch I paused and took a look at my characters status...
"Oh... that's what they meant by bloated."
All three of my party members appeared to have become balloons, suspended in mid air and unable to fight, I could still move in the overworld, but fighting was completely out of the question.
The only way to cure this ailment is De-puffs... to which I had none of.
Understandably I was a bit distressed.
"*Sigh* Now I have to do this dungeon. All. Over. Again!"
This week or two is going to be sprite heavy as I have a sudden urge to draw sprites.
And yes, I've pretty much given up with the excuse 'I didn't intentionally take inspiration from Earthbound' because apparently I copy it so well without knowing... You know I've never even played Earthbound. *Braces self with a bin lid for incoming rocks*
I'm sorry, I don't have a Wii U! T-T

She bites timidly at her lip as she wobbles forward, plodding along with one foot in front of the other. "E-Er... kind of? I-It's slow, but uhm... i-it'll do, I guess! We gotta... engh... w-we gotta hurry...!" Moving for her involves a lot of picking one foot up, swiveling, and continuing the process, but she makes it out the door just barely before she gets lodged in the doorframe. Her sun dress is starting to rip a little bit, and the cherry juice swelling up inside of her is making her more and more rotund by the moment. Her arms continue to shrivel away even as her torso balloons out, becoming rounder by the moment. "A-Ah..."

Hold on Rinori, I'm going to try and push you out of the door frame!
I'll try not to hurt you.

She struggles a bit, wiggling her legs back and forth... looks like those are starting to shrivel up and away now, too! "A-Ack...! J-Just be careful, I feel like... nn, I'm filled with... i-is this juice...?!"

"Juice?
...!" I only started to realise what was happening to Renori, as I prepare myself to get her out of the frame.
With a running start I shoved against Renori's back as hard as I could, I sank a little into her plumy body but I definitely felt her budge forward slightly.
I backed up and readied myself to go again.

As she's tackled, she definitely sloshes back and forth, her considerable weight shifting back and forth in the doorframe. She continues to shrink away, but this odd angle gives a better view of her backside, with her legs shrinking down and away until they're little more than puffy red stumps on her bottom, with a slight green... tail? ...just now starting to poke out of the underside of her sun dress.
...Speaking of the sun dress, it seems to be pressed up tightly against the door frame, to say nothing of Rinori's increasing bulk pushing outward at it. The seams are already starting to give. One more push out the door should do it, but...!

I give her one last push, while I wasn't as forceful as the first time it was just enough to get the cherry to pop straight out of the frame.

There's a bit of a 'pop!' sound as she's knocked loose. "A-Ah...!" She flails a bit as she's shook from the doorframe, rolling away... rolling... still rolling... The nubs on her body that were previously her arms and legs flail, a panicked expression on her face as she realizes what's happening. "No no no noooo...! A-Aieee, helpppp...!"
With a few bounces and some momentum, she's now starting to pick up speed away from the scene of the party. At least she's headed toward the orchard...? Her nervous, embarrassed cry is distorted somewhat by how disorienting the rolling is.

"Whoa... Maybe I pushed her a bit too hard?"
I hesitated a bit feeling a bit dumfounded as to what just happened, but I shook my head and made haste toward the cry uttering cherry.
"Must say though, quite convenient that the orchard is at the bottom of the hill."

The tumble down the hill, in addition to depositing a quite shaken cherry near the trees of the orchard, also seems to have had the effect of tearing Rinori's sun dress off, revealing... well, more or less just a smooth cherry body, at this point. Bright and deliciously red, Rinori wobbled and wiggled next to the trees, her pudgy-looking cheeks and the bumps that remained of her arms and legs all that she had left. That green, winding tail continued to grow from behind her, though, looking more like a vine than anything else. It kept reaching out... toward one of the nearby trees, actually.
Rinori, for her part, simply moaned, her head spinning as she tried to come to grips with her situation. "Auu... th-this is so embarrassing and... I-I need to... a-ack, help..." She couldn't manage much aside from a timid wiggle, suspended on her large cherry belly as she looked over toward the orchard as best she could.

"*Pant* *Pant* Rinori, are you alright? *Pant*
I need to roll you to the orchard or else... *Pant*"
I observed the now very red and very bare Renori, taking in the quite large size of her and noticed the odd looking vine that appeared.

She wobbles back and forth on her stomach, trying her best to look toward the sound of the voice. "A-Ah... I-I can't move, I don't have... m-my arms, my legs... y-you're gonna need to roll me, but... j-just be careful, okay? I, um... th-this is all very weird, and it's so sensitive, and I'm so... so bloated..." Another wobble from the poor cherry makes it clear just how much of a predicament she's in- she's absolutely swollen with cherry juice, and completely helpless!
That vine keeps stretching, searching for one of the trees. It doesn't appear to be under Rinori's control.

"OK, I'm sorry if you get dizzy from this, but we don't really have much of a choice!"
I dashed towards one of Renori's sides and tried to get a good grip on her to push, her slick red skin prevented me from getting any kind of traction.
In the panic however, I found a good point where I can push Renori, "Right, here we go!" and like that ,Renori was slowly but surely sloshing her way towards the orchard, with me grunting and puffing along the way with the sheer amount of juice inside her.

"Whaaa..." She trails off, clearly dizzy and disoriented as she's wheeled farther into the forest, Rinori's pudgy cherry body sloshing with every push as she's shoved forward. It isn't long- it feels like a long time, due to Rinori's weight- but soon the two reach the cherry trees, and Rinori's vine tail sees its chance, immediately reaching out and anchoring her to one of the higher branches on the tree.
"Eep!" If Rinori already wasn't one of the brightest possible shades of red, she'd be blushing now. "Wh-What was that? I feel like I've been pinched, and- h-hey, I... nn..." She moans a few more times, her juice sloshing back and forth as she wobbles.

Even if I was out of breath, I was in shock and awe over what just happened.
"Pinched?
What the- Rinori! Can you hear me?" I yelled with deep concern.

The vine holds itself a bit taut against the tree, and Rinori's cherry body starts... shrinking? It's not draining the juice from her, because she stays exactly as round as she is, but she's definitely growing smaller. "Eek! H-Hey, help me...! We gotta do something, I'm being- this tree is, like, grabbing me, and- w-wait...!" She flails, wobbling back and forth as her former arms and legs wiggle slightly, her shiny cherry body shrinking as the moments pass. "A-Ackk!"

*Gasp*
"Rinori! You- You're turning into a cherry!
W-What do I do? Do I pick you from the tree or something? Or-"

"W-Will it help?! I-I don't wanna be a cherry! I'm supposed to EAT those, not- wh-whoa...!" She flails a bit more as the vine lifts her up off the ground! She continues to shrink as she's lifted- by the time she enters the branches, she's already down to just the size of a basketball! Her face contorts with a mixture of embarrassed panic as she continues to wriggle, suspended by the vine. "I-Is it safe to pick me...? I-I don't wanna be a cherry, but I also don't wanna, uh... I mean, I- o-oh no..."

"I-I don't want to hurt you Rinori, but I just don't know what to do!"
Unsure of myself, all I could do is kneel down and observe the shrinking cherry I knew as Rinori.

Rinori's carried up into the tree branches by the vine as it coils tightly around one of them, bringing her up and in onto one of the low-hanging branches before the vine itself shrinks, becoming nothing more than a simple cherry stem. Rinori's body continues to shrink further- she's still in view, but she'd be easy to miss, since she's now only slightly larger than the other low-hanging fruit, the only thing setting her apart is her slightly more plump size, her wiggly little nubs, and of course the pudgy cheeks of her head.
"I-I- th-this can't be happening...! I'm really just a cherry...?" Her voice was tiny and hard to make out due to her small size, but her cherry body wiggling back and forth on its tiny stem was quite the sight. She sounded scared, confused... and more than a little bit embarrassed. "Wh-What can we do...?"

I had to look closer at the swinging cherry, I round my hand around the back of Rinori and was just barely able to make out her distinctive features.
"Have... have you stopped shrinking now?"

She wriggles slightly, her cherry body rubbing gently against the hand. Everything was so big now...
"I think so... th-this is, um... I-I can't believe this... I really am just a cherry now...! What's gonna happen to me?"

"I don't know... but I can't just leave you here."
I pondered for a bit.
"The only option left is to take you with me, and that means I need to pick you from the tree."

"B-But if you pick me, there's no telling what might happen! ...But you can't leave me, what if I get eaten or, or... I dunno, what if I transform into a real cherry...?" She wiggles back and forth fearfully. "I-I just don't know... it's so scary..."

"Rinori...
It will be OK, I promise.
Now, do you think I should take you gently off the tree?"

She blinks, taking a deep breath. "I-If you do, what'll happen with me...? I-I don't wanna end up spoiling or going rotten or something... b-but if I stay here, then... do you think the tree will keep me like I am now...? Until we find some way to fix me... o-or we'll have to..."
Rinori pauses, shutting her eyes. "I-I dunno..." Her tiny cherry form wobbles back and forth, suspended on the tree branch. She really is a helpless, pudgy cherry! And so juicy-looking, too. "If you need to leave me here, I understand..."

"I don't want to end this with me leaving you here...
But you raise a good point about the tree looking after you until I find a way to...
How would I fix you?"

"I... I don't know. Maybe there's some kind of fruit that fixes this...? Eating these cherries turned me into a cherry, so... m-maybe I..." She shakes back and forth, her juicy cherry body wobbling on its stem. "There has to be a way, though...! I just... m-maybe I'm meant to stay here for now. Just, uhm... c-come back and visit me, even if you don't find anything, okay...? I just don't wanna be stuck like this..."
She looks away, her arm and leg nubs now still as she simply hangs on the vine as a helpless, plump cherry.

"W-Wait, where would I even start looking for this fruit?"

"Um..." She blinks a few times, looking around. "I have no idea... I-I just don't wanna accept that I'm just stuck, you know...? I'm sure there must be a way... just, uh... mph." She bites at her lip. "I won't keep you here, though... I-I guess I just have to accept that I'm a cherry for now."

Looking around I saw a opening that leads deeper into the forest where presumably other fruits are gathered.
(Maybe there's something over there?)
"Alright, I'll look for a cure."
I got up and turned around.
"I won't be long Rinori, just hang in there."

Her mouth hangs open for a moment before she rolls her eyes, adopting a goofy-looking smile as she wobbles back and forth. "I- ...haha, very funny. Just be careful..."
Resigned to her fate as a cherry, she watches him move off as she bites her lip. The orchard was quiet, and she was a fruit... hopefully she'd be turned back!
(This has been a lot of fun, and I'd love to pick up from here later if you'd like, but for now I should be off, haha. Thanks, though! It has been a lot of cute fun! Cherrynori is adorable...!)

This has been a really fun RP, I felt you shined a little more in terms of narrative and the way you worded this really inspired me.
This whole scenario was really clever, I would really like to try and draw up a scenario like this in the future if that's alright with you.
