Avengers Day Off #1Because these three would be the last three people on earth to freak out at a 3D movie. In my mind, Thor decided to show Loki the better parts of what Midgard has to offer and Stark offered the suggestion of going to the movies. Unsupervised. To see 'Avatar'.

Because 1) That movie's excellent use of 3D was pretty much the only thing I liked and 2) if Thor had no idea some of those creatures weren't real, he'd probably attack the screen. Or if he didn't know any of it wasn't real, he'd probably go all heroic and try to help the giant blue cat people.

Considering the similarities to Frost Giants, he might see it as defending a whole bunch of Loki's. Which may explain why Loki's crouched down so low XD
