Update time! I'm back from the dead! And no, this is not a reference to Wolverine from X-Men.My half of an Art Trade with . He wanted me to design a wolverine character for him named Cestus.
Character was described as wearing Winter Camoflague pants, combat boots, and having Amber and Bronze colored fur.
Having a good knowledge of military clothing, his wear was pretty easy.
After looking at several references of the wild critters, I sketched up a design and proceeded with the coloring. Getting the amber and bronze colors to work together was a bit of a challenge, so I threw some gold into his fur as a medium to help them blend and meld.
~RyuuShogun also mentioned that Cestus could fight with two weapons, and as it turns out a cestus is a pair of battle gloves, so I drew the character with a powerful swipe pose. I think I kinda "were-hogged" the hands though.
Hope he likes it!

ahem.. "like" is not so much the word that comes to mind.. i luv it!
there have been various Cestus in history, usually its like a leather glove w/ metal studs or spikes in them. (ref. Deadliest Warrior Gladiator vs Apache)
but i am definitely loving the pose and all around bad ass look for him. makes me want to put him in a situation w/ everyone's favorite echida that leads to a fight.
