THIS PIECE, PLEASE COMMENT AND GIVE ME SOME INSIGHT AS TO WHY YOU LIKED IT, OR GIVE ME SOME CRITIQUE. I WELCOME CRITIQUES.Wanna know a REALLY big reason why I haven't updated my Sibling Squall story? This pic is the reason.
Its sorta a spoiler image, so if you don't wanna be "Spoiled" before my next fan fic update, you might want to avoid opening the full view.

Took way longer than I expected too. Trying to get the characters to look right after referencing screenshot, after screenshot, after screenshot...it was very tasking and tedious, but I'm pleased with how the characters came out. I still hate replicating Dark Ace's Hair, but I just love the guy too much to avoid my constant drawing of him.
The whole thing with the lightning clash effects is to represent the whole face off between Dark Ace and Soara. Just gotta wonder, who will win this little face off? The tension just keeps rising!
At least that was my goal was to portray intensity between the two parties.
The Red Lightning represents Dark Ace's Fire Bolt Crystal, and the Blue Lightning represents Soara's Lightning Bolt Crystal.
I did not make the background, because I suck at backgrounds. The background is of The Wastelands and it belongs to Nerd Corps. Forgive me Nerd Corps. T_T

honest oppinion; i L-O-V-E love this piece! not just because i love the show or Dark Ace and Aerrow, but also for the way this was designed. i can tell the work you really put into this, since the way things are in in the show are not easy to copy in design quality. koddos to you!

alright because this is a FRICKEN EPIC peice and your really made sorra look like aerrow and made it really believeable that possibly u and nerd corps planned her

Actually, would you believe that Soara's resemblance to Aerrow was a total accident on my part? When I initially designed her, I didn't even have Aerrow in mind. I was still between drawing phases, mostly anime. I actually wanted to design her more like myself. Once I got into coloring the image, I thought to myself... "What would she look like with š: 0 ā©: 1
I tried all sorts of shades, bu when I tried Red hair, not only did I think it looked perfect, I noticed her faint resemblance to Aerrow. After that, my brain took off on it's fandom roll, and I developed her back story to tie in with Aerrow.
Andy Poon (Storm Hawk's art director) did like her too, but that's as far as my contact with Nerd Corps. goes.

oh, well I guess that random ahir and outfit colors honestly does give an oc charecter for my example I was going to make leaha (my female merb oc) blue but then I had decided on green to give people something to think about hehe
oh well yeah I guess most fandoms do end up like then then.

That is IF her story can fit in with Aerrow's. But if you think about it, if they were to use my character, then they would have to also use her squadron that I created, and that's adding about 9 or 10 characters and elements that Nerd Corps would have to incorporate, cast, animate, and pay royalties for and that's probably something they don't want to invest in.
Fan characters are fun, but unlikely to be made into canon for these types of shows.

oh yeah your right on that but if they did that means that more viewers would know exactly that the merbs got it and showing another team in the mith of the show will honestly give people more to getat when watching but then again you have a point it wouild I believe take longer to make episodes and I guess your right with the money thing ^^
and I AGREE WITH YOU fancharecters are super fun to make and think of what if they were actually in storm hawks and what voice actor they would have and all but I guess yeah your right that they might not want to invest in all the money of all the charecters. hehe If I had my own show main charecters would definatily be mah oc LOL

Thanks! Making lighting effects like that is not easy. Took a lot of trial and error in photoshop.
And no worries about your own art. Effects like that are not easy to do on paper, but as you practice more, you'll be able to draw anything on paper too!

Personally, I don't believe that Dark Ace and Cyclonis are related. According to the TV show, Dark Ace was once part of the original Storm Hawks who betrayed and led to their destruction.
