There was a comic in the 1940s where Wonder Woman's bracelets were chained together causing her to lose her Amazon Strength.  Steve shot the chains freeing her before the villain could cover her friends with cement.

The villain was named Frenzi.  The story was in a book of Wonder Woman comic reprints with a few comments by Gloria Steinem.   My favorite story was The Battle for Womanhood where Wonder Woman faces Dr. Psycho for the first time.  He used Steve as bait to trap Wonder Woman.
