lol Having been in his presence myself (seven years ago, lol), I have two questions: what was it like? and did he let you pet him?
I felt so small (physically and metaphorically) standing next to him. It was like standing in the presence of a god. He had also just arrived at KYHP, so he was a little high-strung and unwilling to be petted. That didn't stop me from thinking he was the greatest horse in the world, though.

haha I didn't try to pet him..too many workers there. But he is a big, beautiful guy. I wanted to goto the KYHP JSUT to see him. hehe

lol I didn't even know he was at KYHP because back then I didn't have any means of knowing where he was until I saw the nameplate on his stall and I realized he was out for his adoring public to learn about him and whatnot. I need to go back just to see John Henry before he passes on.

Yea they didnt bring him out. He was there, but it was like, the hottest day of the year we went(ofcourse, lol)

Don't know all too much about him. He was fairly impatient, but then again, he is still a stallion and it was VERY hot out that day
