The Mehendi is a tradition in Hindu weddings in India. The design is drawn in henna just before the wedding, on the palms and feet of the bride as well as every female within the immediate families of both the bride and the groom. It does. Both on the part of the person doing the drawing the design as well as the one whose hand it is being drawn on. And then the latter has to stay in position, waiting for it to dry. It only lasts for a few days though.
