Artist's Notes: The final work of this first batch is a piece based on The Prince By Diamond Head and We Stand to Fight by Virtue. To me The Prince is one of the quintessential metal songs that defines the genre. The reason I paired these two songs together is because they both sound like the theme to a face off with some powerful evil. One of my friends commented that they sound like they could be played in the finale of some anime (I know we're both losers). Taking this to heart I loosely based this image on Slayers, which is an anime that I love despite the fact that it isn't all that great. The title is even taken from the show. Here you've got your traditional RPG party facing off against a powerful demon with a guardian angel watching over them.

I have to work on light sources, they look a little wierd here and the cave seems a bit empty. The sorceress needs to be changed up a bit, she looks to much like a knock off of Lina Inverse, the main charater of Slayers. The dragon knight guy was not originally supposed to look like a Triceratops he just turned out that way, not that I'm complaining. Well this concludes my series of teaser images for this series that I might never actually get around too. Consider this my Christmas present to all of you guys. These will probably be my last posts for a while what with the holidays and real life stuff. Merry Christmas everyone and I'll see you around next year!
