Artist's Notes: I know most dinosaur enthusiasts grew up with Walking With Dinosaurs as their main dinosaur documentary but for me it was When Dinosaurs Roamed America. It was one of the first, if not the first, documentary to depict feathered dinosaurs and for me personally it was the first time I had ever heard of a therizinosaur. The only real complaints I have are the lack of variety in environments, with most of the dinosaurs living in a temperate rainforest, with the exception of the Late Jurassic which is set in the same dry river valley as every other dinosaur documentary and the Late Cretaceous which was in a fern prairie for some reason, and that most of the dinosaur designs aren't all that great with the majority, save for the earliest dinosaurs featured, having a dull brown coloration. Zuniceratops was featured in the Early Cretaceous segment and was cemented in my mind as the early North American ceratopsian. Strangely, as a child the documentary gave me the impression that Zuniceratops was around the size of a rhinoceros when in reality it was smaller than a horse.
