Noone really knows about the Sand Devils, other that they are a creature able to dig it's way down through sand as if it were water, breathe the most compressed air particles possible and thus can technically 'breath sand'. They are an arachnid race of non-gender specific creatures without genetalia, food digestular system and thus no intestine. The chest is rather wide with four lungs and two hearts, beating ridicciously slow and thus a Sand Devil is almost immune to what other beings would call stress. Sand Devils are even though their name suggests it, no demonic or hellish creature. They were named after their terrorising hunt for water sufficientcies in the Desert Kingdom, leaping onto creatures and sucking them dry of protein and water, which is the two only vital components to a Sand Devil's survival. The Sand Devil cannot like most arachnids, spin a web out of a gland, but out from their neck-tubes (1). They got six of them and can slip out masses of webbing from theese, which they smear across their hands and legs to be able to move along walls, for Sand Devils does not have any bodyhair or claw-like hair appendages alike spiders. So if the Sand Devil cannot make nests of webs or climb it's way to attack their opponent and don't have the visual advantage of eight eyes, how do they get their pray?

This is where the Sand Devil is most interesting than most other creatures. They have no mouth, do to their lack of digestal system. But they do have a throat which leads into the four lungs. Each lung are able to produce high pressured air which is filtrated through five openings on the Sand Devil's chin-less face and neck, which functions as a small army of 68 pair of lips and tongues (2). This makes them able to mimic, produce and easily shape any prenounced sound they desire. The Sand Devil will follow the creature they stalk, learn it's call and use that to attract them. However, if they are sentient, intelligent beings, a voice or sound of something they desire can also be used. After this, their feelers with a pair of needle-like ends (3) will penetrate their pray and suck out their protein and water.

Sand Devils are a primal race, being rather intelligent in the way how things work, but they do hate everything that is civilized. And thus, the Desert Empire would soon make the Sand Devil exctinct after it started to attack their commoners and small villages in hordes. They also drained the water holes for most cities.

Ozegnet Azubalamadan, or Oz as the Prince would call him, is the only fully intellectual and civilized Sand Devil and the last one of his race to be known of. Living by the side of the royals of the Desert Kingdom as both a certain trophy to hold forth that they have made one of the most plaguing and dangerous animal-like monsters exctinct and also to be their schoolar and translator. Oz have read more books than most others would, do to his abillity to stay up without sleep, eat and basicly cannot be sickened or poisoned. His fragile but tall, hunchbacked form is seen next to the royal ruler of the kingdom if translation is needed to almost any language written down. Otherwise, if he does not desire the company of Oz, the Communicator would be found visiting the constant excavations within the Desert Kingdom, searching for old temples, libraries and cities lost under the sands of time.
