Description This is the basic layout for the clear acrylic clock. It will feature an open architecture that leaves the gears visibly exposed and that framework (as well as the drive shafts for the gears) will all be clear plexiglas as well.

This is a very interesting design. As in much of your work, there is an intriguing quality of infinity.

Thank you for the comment (and faves as well). Wish I could say that the clock was finished, but other obligations seem to keep it on the back burner (I hope that does not prove to be another of its "infinite" qualities, lol)
Cheers!

Thanks! (for both compliment and fave) So far, I'm only lacking clear rod for the gears to ride on.

Wow.

Does it use weights for power?

Yes, Don, it will be weight driven. I am actually considering water as the filler material for the weight to maintain transparency.

Or large blocks of shaped acrylic?

That's an idea! I'll have to try out some weight/volume comparisons. Thanks for the suggestion, Don. By the way, I ran across an incredibly talented wood carver Saturday: [link] Don't know if you've seen his work, but the visit is well worth your time.

Yes, that's amazing wood carving. I'll have to tell D'yrikki (a bandleader I know) about those guitars, I think they are almost strange enough for him.
