Description
I would like at least SOME feedback into the way I have edited the Shading on this - rather than having the stuff everywhere, I have minimized it...I have also made it so that his nose-bridge, nostril, and eyebrow cast shadows down his face...
This is mainly an Icon, so the Lines have been accentuated slightly.
Again, this is Napther, my overweight Dragon OC.
I should be drawing different things other than him...
...and stuck on things to do, so you can try to get a Request or suggest something for me to draw.

I must say, you're new way of shading is better than the last! Especially on the horns.
The outlines also look very smooth, well done.
My only thing is, next time, you should make the shadows blend in more with the outlines, but that's about it.

The shading to me looks quite sharp in places... maybe too much Blend-tool usage has done that...

What I mean by that is, the lighting is facing to the left, which means you shade to match the light. Right?
The shading matches the light, but the black out likes make the drawing look flat.
What you could do is change the color of the outline to match w/e the outline is connected to. Ex = Orange-red horns means orange-red outline, but also match with the hightlights and shadows too.
You've drawn black out-lines on his head too, which just sticks there like some black stuff on his head. You could do what I just typed, matching the out-lines with w/e color it's on.

Oh, it was mainly for a HD Icon for dA and FA, so the lines were there for a reason other than that...

Thats because another way to say it is "No thick black outlines bordering each colour"...
Gunna be difficult to do, as I need to use really thin lines (so that colour seeps beneath them), then remove them at the end... That one was difficult enough...

Oh and also forgot to mention, start shading dark from the out-lines, then slowly let the shading brighten up, like a gradient.

It has always been my nature, there; But I will give it a shot - I guess some people might be interested in what Napther might have looked like when he was hatched...

tips for baby dragons should you want to try one yourself rather than a base
I would say the best things are to make them a bit derpy, no muscle if it can be avoided, slightly larger head than should be, and large eyes. pose also helps in making them look less aggressive and more cute...
