another telling one!! It's visible that it's a sketch in its rough lines, but it still doesn't feel very sketchy (less than his sneaking-around-sketchy har-har) - the polished background actually makes me focus much more on it the longer I look at the piece, an it feels like a scene that has played a part in an event not too far past...
I need to applaud your strategic sketchiness in this however, putting more focus on his arm with the lantern at the end, and his face - while leaving the hand and robe behind him are quick-scribbles to put emphasis on the "No, shoo, nothing to see down here, go look at the Lantern again"

I'M ALSO BAFFLED BY THE TENSION IN HIS EXPRESSION because I find tension to be a difficult feeling to convey, but you can really see that he's ready to act on the slightest signal, but also not jump at the most startling of little noises. GOSH, SAVO, YOU PACKED SO MUCH INTO THIS!!
