The moment she rounded the corner, he slammed her up against the side of one of the empty homes, his mouth fastening onto hers. As his tongue swept into her mouth, Kaidan reacquainted himself with her taste and swallowed her whimper as she tightened her hold of him. Breathing raggedly, he pulled back a few moments later to stare down into her sea green eyes.... "Thank God. By the way, I'm… ahh… sorry for the lack of romance when I handed you the ring. This isn't anywhere near what I had planned, but will you marry me Kailan, when this is all over and you're free to be in my arms again?"Yes, I will," she smiled....
