Okay, this is /way/ old. Like almost a year xD You can tell by the crappy background/shading. This is a scene from the book Darkwing by Kenneth Oppel. The main character Dusk is getting his first flight/gliding lesson from his dad, who like any loving parent pushes Dusk off the branch to start. xD I just thought of the expression that must've been on the poor guy's face and drew this.Obviously, Dusk doesn't die if you're wondering. xP

Icaron: loving parent of the animal kingdom.
(seriously, though, when I was reading Darkwing, I always compared Icaron to Atticus Finch, from to Kill a Mockingbird. While pretty much as far away as possible by physical qualities, Icaron and Atticus share the same sense of justice and equality, as well as both being model parents to their respective families. If you haven't read To Kill a Mockingbird, I'd highly reccomend it.)
