Sorry this is so messy and smudgy. But I wanted to get this idea out so I wouldn't forget about it. I've decided that when Vya got his scar, it was his friends who gave it to him by shoving him into a concrete wall or something. Matvei played his part: he was the one that told Vya's gang to show up and manipulated Vya into exposing his gayness, but the whole thing got way out of his control.

I don't think I knew Vya had a scar??? I also didn't know when he was young he had his whole outfit, I thought he got that after all his gang shenanigans and that his hair was short and he was a rugged tough guy who is a smol bean. So rugged and tough in fact that he's never cried and he absolutely doesn't like cats or anything. By the way did you ever explain how Matvei found out about Vya being gay? I know they 'dated' briefly but how did he figure it out initially, to concoct this plan?

Oh yeah, he has a big old scar on his forehead (it's why he grew his hair out so long)
And no, I'm sorry I didn't make that clear! You're right about the timeline, he was a smol rugged repressed bean, before being a sweet little girly bean. This is YEARS after the whole drama. Like when they met up later. There's no way Matvei would have apologized in any way right after the fact.
And I never really drew a comic about it or anything (i don't really care about filling in all the blanks with these sketch comics, since I was always planning on doing a full comic, and I wanted to save some story surprises for that, haha) But Matvei basically just figured out that Vya was gay by noticing how he acted (and Vya totally having a little crush on him and staring at his butt a lot when he thought no one was looking sort of gave it away)

I never even really considered Matvei ever saying anything about it. I just figured it would be a thing where both parties would be bitter and sad/angry about it until they eventually died wondering how things might have been had they been otherwise.
Also, wow Vya, good job at being repressed and pretending your rugged. He didn't just let the cat out of the bag, he shook the cat up and let the spitting hissing thing out onto Matvei's face. (that metaphor may have gotten a little out of hand, no worries if you can't follow my mad rambling)
BY THE WAY, I am following your comic on tapastic now and It's really exciting and I am really excited because I have waited my whole life for this. FINALLY, all my dreams will come true. I feel like a disney princess

Oh no, I have Plans for Matvei (plans that involve setting him on fire) (that is when the REAL cat hissing and spitting will happen) I just like Matvei too much to never have him come back.

Okay but is this metaphorical setting him on fire or is he literally being set on fire but he doesn't get hurt from it. Or third option is HE BURNS, but doesn't die.
