So this is an ooold thingy I made back in 2015 when I was still starting out developing my comic book. It shows one of the main characters, the fisherman Michin, coming home with his catch of the day.

The comic takes place around 1480 in Prehispanic Mexico. At this point in time Michin lives in the outskirts of Xochimilco in the thriving Mexica (Aztec) Empire, but he didn't always live there. He was born in the P'urépecha (Tarascan) Empire but for unknown reasons decided to leave his home for the land of his people's political rivals.
Michin which means fish is not his real name, but because he is a fisherman from Michoacan ('Place of those who have fish' - the Mexica name for the P'urépecha state), the locals started using it as a sort of nickname because they couldn't pronounce his real name. He took a liking to it and has used it ever since.
