Description
Yes I know the quality of the picture sucks royal hippogriff but it was the best I could do since the movie hasn't been out for that long. Hopefully you all will still like it. Moving on...So as you may see, this hug......was....beyond....AWKWARD!!! I felt bad for Draco. No one laughed at this cause we were too busy crying. Anyways, I wanted to do a motivational for this one and I got the inspiration for the text after seeing many post comments on a "Voldemort awkward hug" video saying "On a scale from 1 to Voldemort."

I felt like they kind of messed this scene up. I was expecting Nevil's speech to be more awesome and backed with music. Also I expected epic sorting hat flying out of window, and Nevil killing snake with everyone watching. Oh well

Yeah, nobody laughed coz everyone was busy crying but the question is: Was this intended to be a comic relief? I think they thought it to be a tense dramatic moment

It might've been. I think the first time you watch the movie it probably isn't cause you're crying so much. Then the second time, you're not sobbing hysterically and it might just be awkward. It was funny the third time for me.

Haha. Although I probably wouldn't watch it that many times in theater. DVD is another story.

I am actually surprised that Lord Voldemort knows how to hug someone.
Somehow this reminds me of Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory...

Yeah,he stands there thinking:
'Okay, Voldy, you can do that! You have seen people doing that! Come on!'
Maybe he had written notes about how to do this on his hand.

^___^
poor dark lord, the unexperienced when it comes to emotions.
ON the serious side, wasn't it Dumbledore's studpidity that lead to Voldemort state.
I mean Dumbledore always pointed out how important love is, but instead of showing it to Tom Riddle who came from a background that was terrible background, the orphanges weren't pleasant places at that time, he just let him go.

Oh my god yes...Its all Dumbledore fault! ...then again I doubt Tom Riddle would want an old man trying to give him a manly hug. "Whoo back off their Gandoff.."
But for real, yeah if he would have spent more time with him like Harry. Maybe. But every one was already tickled pink with young Riddle he sorta had who he wanted to crupt and use. But still good question.

"Come into my hairy and flabby arms, Tommy. Dumbi is going to make everything okay"
.... no that would not work.
Well, he was respected, but respect is not affection. Slughorn liked him on a flat and platonic level, his 'friends' were people who seeked an leader.
But there was no one, who came and talked with him on an emotional level. I mean by that time he came to Hogwarts, he must have suffered a certain level of neglect and abuse, children don't become bad for no reason.

Never really thought about that. Maybe he really did need some one to talk to, to bound with. How ever I think he needed a parent rather then another adult friend. I don't blame any one but Voldemort for how he turn out. Its his choice alone. How ever its hard to tell of Tom wouldn't have use some one effort to love him as he did the others who befriended him. Hard to say.

yes, that is true, but from the psychological aspect: empathy is a social skill and children have to learn those rather than having them right from the beginning.

This is ture how ever what I can tell from meeting Mrs Coles was even thought she was a no noinsnce woman she still cared about her wards. How many of the children turn out bad like Riddle. It comes down to choices and I think Riddle ended up making the wrong choice. Rightly, HIS own choice.

that is true, Voldemort always had the choice of killing/not killing. But I think it could have been different if he had an loving parent
About Mrs. Coles, well she was described as someone who liked to drink often... and at that time, abuse was pretty common in orphanges.
Riddle had too much power and talent, but he never understood why he should use it for someone except himself

Drinking or not It was comment about Tom having a love potion in his system when he was born so as to add his hault in feeling true emotions.
I think had his mother lived (which specking about abuse, she had a bad case far worset then the Malfoys or what ever Tom could have face) I think he come out a little balance. Not saying he would have made the same bad mistakes.
I mean look at Draco his parents loved him but their unknown bad choices gave Draco a hard life and for a time no true friends.
I like the way Finnes put it (the man who played Voldemort) His a angry boy who refuse to let the world bet him and in turn fights every one. I can't help but love a good bad guy. Always makes the story more worth while.

True Draco is just a bully.....still dose not deserve to be tormented by Voldemort...Thank Merlin for good villians! Where would Heros be with out them.

yes, I know. There was a comment about that.
Well, on the other hand:
Draco is not a murderous and unstable psychopath. Tommy is
Yeah, I must say that I think that, too. Good villains are important for a story... and they are way cooler than the heroes
