Description You ran as fast as you could, following the trail you and Wilson had made in the snow. You wiped a few tears away as you slowed your pace. Suddenly, you realized something was wrong. You veered from the path somehow! A huge gust of freezing wind blew and covered up your tracks with a fresh powder.

"I...I couldn't have gone too far!" You panicked and started scanning the ground for any signs of footprints. The only ones to be seen were directly below you. You looked even farther out and couldn't see anything familiar. It was like the forest itself had rearranged.

"Wilson!" You called. Your voice echoed, but you didn't hear any responses aside from a flock of crows fleeing a tree. Your thoughts were wild and you began thinking of the worst possible scenarios. You would die out here. Cold, alone...hungry.

The sun was starting to sink lower in the sky. You were grateful that you had heavy winter clothing, but you needed to get back somehow. But then you remembered something Wilson had said, "You lose sight of reality very quickly here..." you repeated aloud.

You listened closely, and very faintly in the distance you could hear Wilson calling out to you. With newly found hope you focused your hearing and hoped that you could pinpoint his location. It was sort of embarrassing hearing your name out in the wilderness. Especially for not being able to follow a simple trail. You were sure you would get an earful when you made it back. IF you made it back.

"Where are you?!" You shouted, hoping for an answer. Thankfully he shouted at you again and you were glad that it was closer. You ran quickly and found the campsite.

Wilson heard the crunching of snow and ran over to you. His face bore regret and he pulled you into a hug. It felt like he wouldn't let go, "Thank goodness...I was so worried...I shouldn't have let you leave on your own. I tried to stop you when you ran but..."

You definitely felt foolish, but you were happy to see his face again. Even happier to feel warmer. You hugged him back, "I'm sorry..."

"Come now, we should put wood on the fire. It's starting to get late. And...it wasn't your fault you got lost. I'm sure Maxwell played a part in that. He just loves pulling strings," Wilson let you go and glared off into the distance, "I WILL find out what his game is."
