Overall, this is a great piece. Your composition is nothing to complain about. Your addition of a light source on the eye, while there is no obvious light source is intriguing. The choice of subject and placement is interesting. Your use of color and how it relates to the negative space, in my opinion, was a good choice. There's not much focus taken away from the subject. The fact that this started out as an experiment and ended in something as wonderful as this is the true definition of art. I absolutely love this piece! You are a talented painter, as always, and this has become one of my favorites.
