Description
What a strange batch to start with, but I decided to take risks and draw from PBS cartoons, just for the heck of variety of shows. Now I have drawn WordGirl before, but I didn't like the outcome of that one, so I decided to redraw her, and THIS was much better.

I love this show. Could you possibly draw Dr. Two Brains in the future? That would be awesome.

Cool! PBS cartoons! I miss them already!

This was an interesting show, mixing Rocky and BullwinkleΒ style with education and vocabulary.

Why was she called "Word Girl" in the first place, besides for having the knowledge of vocabulary. Was it because she "always had to keep her word", she "gave us her word"?

No, it's not that, it's just that she has all the superpowers of every generic superhero and a dictionary.
If having a big vocab counts as a superpower, than just call me Wordboy.

If you want to talk about shows that will drive you mad/insane/crazy, then WordGirl is not quite the cartoon to look for, In fact in comparison to a lot of cartoons of the same networkΒ (with the the exception of Wild Kratts, that show is actually really good.) this show is heaven! Because at least in WordGirl, the education kicks in whenever the plot calls for it, as opposed to other shows going as far as breaking the fourth wall just to "teach" you something every three minutes.
"Which word should I use?"
"How do you spell the word 'if'?"
"Let's Rhyme!"
But at least with WordGirl, you get more into the story like you're watching an actual TV program as opposed to children's educational mental torment, and the reason why her way with words is a superpower is because If you needed to know a word or what a word means, she can tell you right then and there, as opposed to other people who will require quite some time to remember the word you needed to learn, which is why she is referred to as "The Living Dictionary" which would be sadly incredibly useful, not a whole lot of superheroes are famously known for superior intellect which is why they are the most remembered, it's because they're very intelligent and that's what makes those superheroes the most looked-up to, one of the most iconic examples is Β Β Batman, who excels in detective skills which takes a massive amount of education, it's really more about how well the show is made, and WordGirl actually is a well put-together show, If you can... try watching it again, and then watch a different show of the same network, and you'll know exactly what I'm attempting to imply...

Well, from a super's standpoint she's a water down version of Superman
super strength, speed and flight and... vocab, yeah that's it ('.')
