Description NOTE:
This tutorial was made a long time ago, and may not be relevant with the latest versions of Kisekae or certain internet browsers.

-----------------------------------------

Here's a little thing for you lovelies. Let me know if you have any questions!!

I was going to write a script people could use that would do this for them, but it's not really that hard of a process.

I'm sorry if you use an Apple or Linux device; you could still do this, but I don't know the Unix/Linux AppData locations off the top of my head like I do on Windows.

NOTE: This will not work properly if your backup version and Kisekae version do not match. If Kisekae is updated, IMMEDIATELY MAKE A NEW BACKUP OF YOUR FILES.
IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE POCHI FOLDERS, BACKUP THEM ALL.

Casually shows off basic computer knowledge

UPDATE:
If you don't find the Flash folder in the location I've laid out, check the following:

AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\WritableRoot

This folder exists if you are using Google Chrome AND do not have Adobe Flashplayer installed on your computer from the Adobe Flash website. Google Chrome has Flash built in (ie Pepper Data/Pepper Flash), but the built-in flash plugin is only used if you don't have your own installation of Flash already on your computer.

I lost it at the "You back it up" image.

But I like to do my backups the old fashioned way!

I just save all the codes into a .txt and keep the files on my HDD as well as all three of my flashdrives. Just in case.
also lets me do Kisekae things during class but sshhhhhhh

Hm.... I appreciate it, and it looks really nice! Kudos to you! But no thank you~

I like being able to see that I have the codes saved. A personal feeling that it's secure.
Thank you for the offer though!

Oh, okay
you can see the codes though, in a file the app creates in it's own folder

The act of personally copying, pasting, and saving the code into a .txt is more what I'm talking about. A sort of personal assurance that it's there.

Saving export codes is different though o v o Always save export codes!!!
By saving the actual Kisekae Saves, people can keep any templates they have (like me for TF sequences, before/afters, and other stuff), including all background customizations and all kinds of useful stuff n v n

JainIlluverii In reply to Sbalio [2015-04-17 02:23:42 +0000 UTC]

I haven't started doing any/all of that yet, so I don't have much use for this quite so far

But it's good to have this in mind for when I do! >Casually saves this image into the Kisekae folder for offline use

That's fine and good except when you have to stop in the middle of doing a comic page so you make a save of where you were in the comic and then something messes up and you lose things.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JainIlluverii In reply to Bunnyfett [2015-04-17 02:20:10 +0000 UTC]

That's why I save the whole scene using an "Export All", and make sure to constantly update/save the final image as I create each individual image!
I even have a folder for all my completed or WIP comics on all of them, too!

With Jessi's form you can have less files cluttering your computer u.u

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JainIlluverii In reply to Bunnyfett [2015-04-17 02:59:13 +0000 UTC]

And that's why I delete unnecessary files once I don't need them anymore! Everything else is saved to its appropriate folder.
Backgrounds, BACKUP, Codes, Comics-ETC, General, "Not mine, nope"*, Profiles, Reactions

The whole folder is only 273M, and 212 of that is the backup made using Sbalio's method here!
I'd go crazy if I didn't have everything extremely organized. Absolutely everything on my computer is organized to a point where you can't not find something!

* Quotation marks not actually used in folder name

C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\WritableRoot\#SharedObjects \GCDHV2QB and the pochi folder will be there

The thing I discovered a month ago.

After losing my saves twice...

Sbalio In reply to Inirias [2015-04-17 01:44:34 +0000 UTC]

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Inirias In reply to Sbalio [2015-04-17 01:55:51 +0000 UTC]

You can't do it big enough to emulate my emotions the first time >.< The second time, I was just like: "What, really? You did the thing to me already a week ago..."

Oh, and I should add that for chrome, the path is, from AppData (the parent folder of Roaming) in Local, Google, Chrome, User Data, Default, Pepper Data, Shockwave Flash, WritableRoot, SharedObjects, *random set of numbers*, pochi lix jp, k_kisekae2.swf. Hoping it can help a few...

Also... You don't add memos to your saves??? Don't you get confused???

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sbalio In reply to Inirias [2015-04-17 01:58:28 +0000 UTC]

that file location doesn't exist for me and I use chrome. It might depend on whether or not you actually have flashplayer installed, because Chrome has flash built in, but if the user already has Flashplayer installed on their computer, it actually uses the main install.

I have memos on some saves but nah not really

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Inirias In reply to Sbalio [2015-04-17 02:06:54 +0000 UTC]

Okay... Well, I began to mess around google flash saves a pretty long time ago, and at the beginning, I think it was where you found it, and later it changed... Weird.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sbalio In reply to Inirias [2015-04-17 02:08:46 +0000 UTC]

That's because Google Chrome having Flash built in is actually a pretty recent update n v n

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Inirias In reply to Sbalio [2015-04-17 02:09:35 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, but why would it change the emplacement of my files?...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sbalio In reply to Inirias [2015-04-17 02:12:41 +0000 UTC]

Because before Flash was built into Chrome, it ran on its own and had its own folder, like it does for me since I use flash outside of Chrome.
When chrome was updated to run flash on its own, it basically copied all the flash files from their original location and moved them to the Chrome one > v >;;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Inirias In reply to Sbalio [2015-04-17 02:16:28 +0000 UTC]

Isn't that a bit dumb? It means it's all tied to Chrome... Which is exactly why I lost my saves -.-

Also, I didn't notice your eyes before... Are they that color irl? Cause I really like it o.o
