representations of three/dacolor scheme.
3 main renders connected with the lighting. (middle one is semi difficult to see due to the size)
the futuristic style. symbolic of 'the new style' of da
the large size can be symbolic of the large commnunity of da
the renders suprpassing the boders can be symbolic of growth within the community.
the chaos can well represent how cranky DA is being right now. terrible two's are very apparent on the servers.
theres more, but i don't want to spell it out for you.
other than that you people are being overly critical of your first glances. take your time and think it through. 3 was a very broad topic, and rather than choosing something simplistic to work with, i thought this through and intentionalyl made it difficult to diffuse why/how it relates to 3 and DA. rather than smother thing with useless vectors and hordes of threes, it's creative and forces you to think beyond a first glance. full view please for higher details.

time spent:about 2 weeks off and on. i originally never planned on posting it in the contest.
other info:i know everybody isn't going to comment on this, but i appreciate those who take the time. all comments will be returned, although often it takes me a few days to do it. critism is more than welcomed. oh... and for the judges, i'd like for this to be judged in indy-art.

sbr, evreything that could be said has been... but I want to say that I really enjoy looking at your work in this area of design... I've often wondered how these things are done, but as of yet no avail... but your work inspires me to search harder for the understanding of the process... Maybe someday I will understand... but until then, I have your work as a base of inspiration.

for me i see three strands (of creativity? initiative? desire for that better piece of art?) linking different stages of creativity. there is a strong sense of chaos in the picture and perhaps i would have liked to see the chaos come to a resolution somewhere in the picture, mirroring what i regard art to be about, making sense out of a chaotic world.
in short this be quality

updated deviation details since many of you aren't 'getting' it. i don't want to spell it out for you. if you don't see an immediate meaning in something, try searching a little bit deeper within it. there's no right or wrong answer, that's the whole idea behind abstract. look a little bit withen yourself to find your own answer to the riddle of three.

Looks very nice but a part from the colours which remotely remind me of devart's I can't really see any birthday, threes or deviantart in this.

I know you recommend viewing large, but there's so much going on in this pic I had to download it and open it in photoshop so I could zoom out, step back and try to take the whole image in (I need a bigger monitor!). It's almost too intense to take in, but the upside of that is that I could keep coming back to it time and time again and notice something new each time. There's definitely heaps of detail when you look closely. Very impressive!

would have been cool if you could have added a third hue in there somewhere. colors are good, renders aren't bad at all. it's a monster as far as size goes, but other than that, i love it. +fav for sure (although you already knew i would).
