Re do of a super old picture I did of these two.Yes I am a Dax/Mylan shipper and I will go down with this ship
Before I get the usual flood of comments of "blah blah blah I hate Dylan I love Fang" let me get this out of the way...
Dylan is a better choice for Max at this point in the series. He's loyal, a fighter, and he loves her. And unlike some other goth-avians I can mention he has never left her, broken her heart, abandoned her or the flock. Oh and he never replaced her with her own evil clone. I'm sure a debate will still ensue but idc I have yet to find a person who can logically explain to me why Fang is better for Max than Dylan.

Dylan....creeps me out. Fang....is an ass. As I believe I've mentioned before, I want her to go all independent chick and kick ass again. Or end up with Iggy, because as I've read the series over (a book a month since January) I've noticed those two would be good together. I also have to say, your art, like usual, is awesome and makes me jealous.

And yeah I think she'd be better off by her self, but if she has to choose between Fang or Dylan, I'd say Dyl.
Iggy, I feel like he loves Ella already and doesn't see Max that way. But they would be good together.

You know my theory? Dylan is made for Max, right? So maybe, since Max II or Maya or whatever you wanna call her is the same as Max, then Max II/Maya and Dylan will get together and Max and Fang will finally get back together! Yay!

I don't really agree with that theory for two reasons
1. Max and Maya are two completely different people, although Maya was made from her DNA and the look exactly alike their personalities are different. And is Dylan just loved Max for her looks than that would work but it's Max's soul that connects them I believe which is why Dylan didn't pull a Fang and ditch her for the clone
and
2. Fang doesn't deserve Max back after all the shit he put her through.

No but Maya/Max II do have a similar personality. And Dylan was "made" for Max at the cellular level.
As for Fang, he didn't want to hurt Max. he really thought that was what was best for the Flock at that time.

I don't think the Maya-Dylan thing works out, I think its just something people want to believe. He was made for Max, not Maya. That's why he isn't connecting with Maya.
And Fang had ulterior motives, he had been planning on leaving and forming his new flock. I just think he's an ass now and really doesn't deserve to be with Max

I'm not a huge shipper of these two but I don't mind the character of Dylan himself. I think this is a really beautiful picture.

Yeah most people aren't I'm one of the few people who support this pairing
Trust me, I've been drawing Mylan for about a year and a half, nothing anyone says really bothers me anymore
