This is a very exact 3d model of my bedroom. It's inside a cardboard box, as this is often how I feel when in here working for hours as a time. This has probably been one of my biggest 3d projects to date. It took 4 or 5 days to get this far, and probably about 50 hours of rendering. Previous betas and such can be found in my gallery. I'm very proud of this piece and would appreciate comments and feedback more than you can imagine.

Model produced in 3d Studio Max 4. Rendered with Brazil. 109,000 polys. 192 polys per thumbtack. Each render took between 6 and 8 hours.
Edit: Moved out of Unsorted section, not too sure about new location, doesn't seem to fit perfectly anywhere.

This was one of the first pieces of work I ever saw from DeviantArt (a few years ago) and I instantly thought 'wow'. I designed my latest piece called 'My Room' with this piece of work in mind, so it's been a real inspiration for me. Thank you.

the modeling you did is absolutely amazing. the amount of detail you used... even if something was barely seen, it still is extremely detailed.
but... you gotta put better settings on your light tracer when you render dude...

I really like the idea behind this work and plenty of fantastic detail in the render..... but 6-8 hours for rendering? What were you rendering with? A hamster on a wheel?

man I know how you feel! My room is small too and I'm struggling with keeping it straight. one day I'm gonna model it too mostly cause it part of a bigger project. I wanna model my house, but not in as much crazy detail as you did tho. great work.

oh my fuggin crap wtf, when i full viewed this i thot it was a model u made like HAND MADE, but then its like 3d. It's crazy it looks so real and everything is so detailed. and the keyboard THE KEYBOARD!!! crazy shit, keep it up.

It's a very nice render and idea, though I'm not too keen on the top one as it's lost some of the blue to turquoise (like in a bad webcam shot). All that's missing is a fridge and a toilet

Oh dear God - that's entirely too much like the place I work. Only without the box spring.
Seriously - that's scary good work. The only thing I can remark on as far as constructive criticism goes is the lighting. From one image to the next, it get's noticably darker. I realize that's probably because of where you placed your light source, but even if you brightened it from frame to frame or did some levels adjustments in photoshop or something after the render, I think it would help it a smidge.
But oh my is this good. If I wore a hat, I'd be doffing it in your general direction.
